HASTE - Useful or Useless?

What is your opinion on the Nightblade skill Haste?
    Is it worth using?

Im thinking of making a build mostly centered at doing basic, light and heavy attacks. Would haste be at all useful? o.O

I keep its morph Focused Attacks on my 2H ability panel, to bump up my crit chance; I also have Lotus Fan on the panel, which I actually use. The two abilities slotted add +6% Crit chance (for a total 54% Crit chance on my Battle Axe when added to my Hunding's Rage set pieces).

Focused Attacks increases my combat Stamina recovery by 37%, which is something to consider.

I'd probably dump the Focused Attacks if I used my Battle Axe for more than the initial Wrecking-Blow-from-Stealth-plus-a-gratuitous-second-light-attack. However, I usually switch right then to DW for the remainder of combat. Since I really only use Wrecking Blow and a light attack with 2H, and then only at the start of battle, I'm not on my 2H ability panel long.

"Sneak in this game is a really pathetic feature that imbalances whole game.

I mean, it's all right you get a slight (50%) damage bonus when attacking from behind.
It's all right to make nightblades able to go invisible for 2.9 seconds.
But it's NOT ALL RIGHT to make anyone who's crouching INVISIBLE. I mean, if a guy sat down in the grass in the field behind my house, I'd friggin see him from 250m, not 5. It's ridiculous how they implemented it, and it's completely breaking cyrondil.
You walk around... look, it's a flower, let me pick it up... BAM! 20 enemies materialize all around you, which is the last thing you see before respawning.... Noone has to hide behind rocks, trees or anything, they can just sit 5m from you and you see nothing?

They should just disable the invisibility (at least in cyrondil) to force people to actually hide. It would make PvP so much better.

This is a game that has people doing magical stuff because they have racial abilities. i mean, this is a game that has cat people and vampires and stuff. If cat people and magic and racial abilities are okay, well why not a ninja-like ability to be unseen? Seems perfectly natural to me.

Well I find focused attacks morph of haste pretty useful when I combine it with leeching strikes. I get back stamina fast plus I love to use focused attacks to get 40% stamina regen while I am running so I do run out of stamina.

I've seen a few people write this here, I think it was shown that Leeching Strikes was shown to have a cool down so was totally unaffected by Haste.

We have a nice useless arsenal:

    - Haste
    - Path of darkness
    - Cripple
    - Shades
    - Agony
    - Blur
    - Mark Target

I wouldn't say useless, just specialized (some more than others).

Haste- can be useful if you are doing heavy attacks in PvE, typically not worth it.

Path of Darkness- Some have used it as an escape tool in PvP. Even with the recent buff, not worth it for the most part.

Cripple- This is typically used in the LA/Resto Trials build. I would say very useful for that application. Generates ultimate and is a nice dot while you spam funnel health.

Shades- This one is a mixed bag. Sort of meh in PvE. Debuff can be nice but not worth it for the most part. In PvP, this can be used for a few things. 1. drain stamina on your opponent (assuming they are blocking). 2. The teleport morph is nice while defending. Pop it on the wall. Jump down. Kill someone and port back (yes, you can do that). I just recently was testing out last night Critical Charge with this. Pop Shadow Image. Critical Charge. Port Back. Critical Charge. I was able to get 2 max distance charges off in 1-2s. I've never seen anyone else do this so I'm going to coin it, "Jaxoming"

Agony- Meh. Take away the cast time and make one of the morphs an AoE. This would find my bar at that point.

Blur- I suppose it's useful for NB tanks, but since it doesnt stack with the Medium Armor Evade, not as useful as it could be.

Mark Target- Great skill for PvP. Gives burst heal. Catches people in stealth and great for trolling.

@CapuchinSeven‌ I know its has a cooldown. The point was not that haste lets my get stamina back fast because of the attack speed. The point was that I am getting stamina back faster because of Foccused Attacks stamina regen and leeching strikes stamina procs.

They have uses but, you have them on your usual bar?

About Mark Target, is like saying "hello theres a NB staring at you, pls hold block"... Agree the trolling part.

Interesting the shades thing, will test if i can climb the wall while attacking a keep... Besides that anecdotical thing, theres better wsts to burn target stamina.

One of the things that I have noticed playing a NB since release is that none of our skills is a "must have" on our bar. Everything is too situational. We do not have have a GDB, a BE, or a Blazing Shield. You could say cloak but that is very unreliable.

Absolutely agree about the situational thing. I find I would benefit by resetting my skill bar for almost every fight. I don't, because you can get by, but I could.

Of the skills mentioned above as useless I regularly use Piercing Mark, Crippling Grasp and Prolonged Suffering, and I tried out Haste (again) yesterday and Hey! It seemed to work! I WAS moving faster! I also have an (obvious) idea for Twisting Path with Crippling Grasp and Axes but haven't tried it yet...

What I'm saying is these skills aren't useless. The NB class still has a lot of experimentation and option room still there.

Yes but without even trying I sit at 100 regen, actually trying I get 140 regen, well into the softcap. I'm just not really sure past anecdotal, it's actually really helping that much with stamina regen.

No idea what it does to my stamina at 140 softcap, I'll maybe give it a try.

Piercing Mark has a permanent spot on my bow bar. Shades get's rotated in sometimes. Dark Shades was fun for awhile. I'm playing around with Shadow Image which has it's uses but isn't always on my bar. Crippling Grasp was on my PvE bar as I did Light Attack and Funnel Health while keeping Cripple up 100% of the time.

Agony and Blur haven't been used in ages. Haste has it's uses but hasn't been on my bar in awhile.
