I’m a fairly meticulous VR1 sorcerer; I do all the quests; I explore all the areas; I craft my own everything (compounding sets, complex potions & foods, and enchantments). ..and so on.

In a nutshell: somewhere around ~ level 30, the game started to get extremely easy. I feel like I’ve outpaced a difficulty curve. So I’ve been looking forward to the VR over-world, as my understanding was that it's “really hard.” Having now arrived, it's not so much. :\

I don’t understand how people are requesting nerfs! The feeling of accomplishment is absent in the vast majority of these thousands of quests. That’s too bad, because in many cases, the stories are actually really clever, funny, interesting, etc..

I like the ESO world a lot, enjoy the game mechanics, and I’m patient enough (lol) to be OK w/ all the derp problems they introduce w/ each patch.

Am I alone in this, what do you think?

You're playing the strongest build possable, that's part of the reason things are easy. Around VR 3 or 4 you'll hit a sharp rise in difficulty

Welcome to playing a magick user.

Grab a sword or bow, and give it a go. It's not exactly hard, but it's definitely more engaging.

Mob difficulty does keep ramping up till VR10, and then takes a huge leap in Craglorn. Smarter, more health, etc. But it's definitely not hard if you understand your character at all.
Ruze Aulus. Mayor of Dhalmora. Archer, hunter, assassin. Nightblade.
Gral. Mountain Terror. Barbarian, marauder, murderer. Nightblade.
Na'Djin. Knight-Blade. Knight, vanguard, defender. Nightblade.

    XBOX NA
Ruze is a veteran of the PC Beta, lived through the year one drought, survived the buy-to-play conversion, and has stepped foot in the hells known as Craglorn. He mained a nightlbade when nightblades weren't good, and has never worn a robe. He converted from PC during the console betas, and hasn't regretted it a moment since.

He'd rank ESO:TU (in it's current state) a 4.8 out of 5, loving the game almost entirely.

This is an multiplayer game. I should be able to log in, join a dungeon, join a battleground, queue for a dolmen or world boss or delve, teleport in, play for 20 minutes, and not worry about getting kicked, failing to join, having perfect voice coms, or being unable to complete content because someone's lagging behind. Group Finder and matchmaking is broken. Take a note from Destiny and build a system that allows from drop-in/drop-out functionality and quick play.

I think the veteran nerf was a good and bad thing. I really really liked the higher difficulty, however I understand why they did it for the good of the game overall. It has brought people back in.

I thought that as well when I hit vet one. But once you get to vet 3 and especially if you are melee if you do not pull correctly you have a high chance of dieing.

I can still solo dolmens though.
