But seriously now, they are a useful tool in certain circumstances. People overuse them on this forum, but it doesn't mean taking them away is a good solution.2 -

Going through the forums almost every single poll about difficulty has been from someone who thinks it was too hard. None of the polls went their "way". Now they pass the poll off as false and not indicative of the majority. In my time lurking the forum I've seen all polls go like that... the side that "loses" calls the poll biased or just plain wrong and flippantly dismisses the results. So, what is the point?
