[PROPOSAL] Standardise Cyrodiil Keep Names

Well i know that there are several other issues with cyrodiil that are way more urgent but nonetheless this is a point bothering me since beta times.

The keep names in cyrodiil should be standardised through out the several client languages - or at least translated correctly.

One of my favourite examples is how Aleswell suddenly changes into Alebrun if you switch the client language from english to german.
Since not everyone is willing to change his client language for pvp matters only like i do - and i totally understand that - these "translations" only result in confusion and people who dont know what others a talking about.

Therefore keep names in cyrodiil should be standardised at all the different client languages.

Yeah I kinda wanted to play the whole game in French, just to practice while I'm gaming really, but I realized it would make references really confusing when playing on the NA server with mostly English speakers.

I'm not sure it should be changed, though. Is it as much of a problem for EU players? I mean, are French and German players mostly playing on separate campaigns? Are they all just playing in English anyway?

My guess is that the names also change for ease of pronunciation and to make more sense semantically.

Well people are pretty much mixed through all campains at the EU server too and i actually really like it that way. But having completely different names for the same keeps is kind of ...

Question:

In translations of ESIV: Oblivion, what were those keeps called?
Did they retain their original names?

Some did, but since TESO is a mmorpg and not a single player game, using the english names and therefore dropping the one or other original french or german name would be a good tradeoff in order to avoid the confusion while beeing in cyrodiil imho.

I think for other language versions the English translation should be in parenthesis to keep other language players from HAVING to change settings to play with us on NA/EU servers.

Please give french and german players the option to toggle Standardised Cyrodiil Keep Names (the english ones are fine) on their map.
Actualy we often get lost in keep names translation while trying to chat with fellows from our group. This is horrible!

Keep name localization makes no sense what-so-ever on a server where you can have different language clients in the same instance.

Wow, having only played on the NA server I had no idea this was the case, yes 100% agree with you.
