Just ignore him. He is just whiny cause he cant play without using vastly overpowered character skills.
Ruze is a veteran of the PC Beta, lived through the year one drought, survived the buy-to-play conversion, and has stepped foot in the hells known as Craglorn. He mained a nightlbade when nightblades weren't good, and has never worn a robe. He converted from PC during the console betas, and hasn't regretted it a moment since.
He'd rank ESO:TU (in it's current state) a 4.8 out of 5, loving the game almost entirely.
You don't want to go to that new dungeon. It's bugged beyond belief regardless.
I think it's hard to get excited about anything with this game right now. We can talk about future content and what not, but the real question is, will it actually work? Based on what I've seen the past few months, I would say no.

I wonder if those who arnt happy with the game...is the sum of users on this forum, cause zonechat in daggerfall, where I am currently exploring, was anything but negative.
I hate this game, and zenimax for not giving me the game I want.
But im sick and twisted, so instead of just leaving and go play sommat else I might like, i'm just gonna go on the forums, and run the game down at every opportunity.
I'll make them regret not giving me an AAA game with absolutely no bugs whatsoever on release, and don't get me started on bugs after patches.
wtf are they doing ?
Im gonna throw my toys out the pram , im gonna take my ball home.
Im gonna post so much crap on the forums, no one else will want to play either.
I will get my way.

If this game goes free to play, the already low brow population in the game will explode, as will the population of gold spammers and gold sellers and farmers. I'd flee with my wallet if that happened.
So, yet MORE content exclusive to the trivially small minority of your players who can access it.ZOS_JessicaFolsom wrote: »Ragnar_Lodbrok wrote: »I like how he avoided all the serious questions. It just tells me two things:

All I read is:
1. Region-free Craglorn
2. Justice system with PVP mode activated upon crime
3. City of Ash
4. More land
5. Player input affects development
Wonder what did he mean by Region-free. Does it mean all factions could finally quest together?
There were some odd typos/misquotes in that article. "Region-free Craglorn" is "Region Three Craglorn" which is the third area of Craglorn where The Serpent Trial will be.

What is "region-free of Craglorn" mean?
Yeah, as a 'green' said, it's the next content being released exclusively for the trivially small minority who can access it, ie. Entropy Rising and their ilk, the third region of Craglorn.Curragraigue wrote: »isengrimb16_ESO wrote: »Good, the justice system will only involve NPCs; the PvP element will only involve those who want to play cops and robbers. Typo it is meant to be Region Three of Craglorn
That's been my experience overall too. Yeah, there is sometimes some bashing of people/religion going on, but generally hasn't been any bashing of the game. On the contrary.. zone chat (at least for VR 4 stuff I'm in) is usually people helping each other out, selling stuff, or looking for groups. Going into the lower level zones I've seen quite a few "Wow, this game is actually good, I thought it was going to be horrible based on the reviews/press" type comments.. with lots of players chiming in to say they thought the same.
In guilds it can be mixed, but is generally a more constructive conversation than what I see in the forums. Everything isn't always rainbows, unicorns, and sunshine. We definitely discuss aspects of the game that could use improvement.. but it's much more respectful than what you find here, and the whole tone is drastically different from the "everything is negative, even articles saying there's no plan to change the sub model means the game is going F2P" type stuff you encounter on the forums.
Forums are where people go to complain though, so I can't really say I'm surprised.

7) no, $1 per trip would never float

Have you played a game that went P2P->F2P? I've played 3 of them, they all went 'hybrid' rather than out-and-out F2P and in general prices weren't as high as you're suggesting: they're call MT-based business models, and $10 is 'micro' for bread-and-butter things.
We are getting a very cheap product with a subscription. You pay a monthly fee, thats it! Adding content included!
Free-to-play, is also a business model. Its not a nice company that gives you stuff for free. For me, Subscription isnt just cheap, its safety in what I spend time in.
This person works with Free-to-pay games. Worth a read and explains why ESO is the best model for both company and customers.

The justice system doesn't seem to want to interfere with those who don't want to get into cops and robbers, so far; and it's kind of what I thought they might do. And I have lots of slots left on both servers, so if I want a cop and/or robber character, I can make one. And another interview confirmed that, yes, they are planning a mix of solo and group content for later patches.
It'll probably be a couple more months before I can even think of trying anything in Craglorn, though.

Is that confirmed? When are those updates oing to happen? Which new lands will they add?

They weren't specific, it was from the latest Ask Us Anything. I just followed a link from some discussion in this forum. But they did say that more solo content was in the works for the future, they were just fleshing out the group stuff first. Which, even as a mostly solo kind of person, makes sense; those who do like to group were kind of hurting, with 1-50 phasing issues (those been fixed yet?)
All that talk about TESO possibly going F2P is not really about which subscription model is profitable, it's in fact a discussion if TESO is failing as a game, because for many people (not me) nowadays "going F2P" is a bad sign for the future of a game.p_tsakirisb16_ESO wrote: »W
As for the subscription model, I do not see why all these fuss about.
There are 17 (UO), 13 (DAOC), 11 (EVE), 9 (WOW) year old games still with P2P model.
