EU Cyrodiil lag makes PvP literally UNPLAYABLE

So, I just logged out of the game and I am enraged. I went into Cyrodiil on my home campaign, Auriel's Bow, to have some casual fun. I spotted a battle nearby and decided to participate, only to find out that I couldn't move, suddenly. At first I thought I might have just been stunned (since there is no respective animation for that) but then, after 10 seconds, when I was able to move again all sorts of other wacky stuff started happening, the most annoying of which was that I couldn't use any abilities. I tried casting a spell, but it took about 3 seconds for it to actually activate. I tried to use Uppercut and the animation of my character preparing his sword would start, but then his arm just stood still and did nothing and I couldn't move again. I died quickly (not that I stood a chance in the first place, since I'm just a puny veteran rank 1). I have a pretty good connection, lag is never a problem for my anywhere else in the game, including group and public dungeons, my PC is pretty decent too, at big battles my frame rate locks at about 30 fps, so I'm definetly not the problem here. Maybe if the EUROPEAN server were actually in EUROPE... I live in Slovenia and have attempted to experience Cyrodiil many times, but it always ended similarly to the experience I just described. Please fix this, I really love the concept of Cyrodiil and would like to experience it without dying every minute and actually having controll over my actions.

    Yeah, same here.

Funny thing is though - I contacted the "support", and they didn't even know there were issues with Cyrodiil.

Perhaps Zenimax needs to give their outsourced support some tools to check/detect this?

    Agree & Bump !

We need our characters to have MUCH MUCH faster reactions.
Really those effective 1 to 3 seconds between pressing keys and see our toons react is not acceptable for PVPers.

Something as essential as breaking stuns or switch weapons, due to LAG issues, just kill skill. That is also why low skill highly effective setups like talons+banner are the absolute best abilities to slot : perma-block, talons, ulti.

Z you have to FIX LAG and you have to Bring EU server in EU.
Whatever interesting your PVP Design is, the current implementation (especially 1 to 3 sec perma lag) is far too penalizing.

Z, you will may many of us PVPers just for this (ask SWTOR).

I've stopped going into cyrodiil. It is just not fun to play (especially as a NB or melee) when you hit your button to attack and it happens 3 seconds after when the target has "warped" 20m forward. I have a 100 mbit connection and NO LAG in other games.

It must be some fundamental flaw in the network connection code for ESO. You need to put your developers to work here. It is just THIS GAME (for me) that have horrible latency issues for PvP. Either that, or you realize your cyrodiil mass pvp is not possible with your game code and create someway to have pvp fights in smaller instances.

    Same here.

A question to american players.... have you lag in North American megaserver?

I heard the lag is a issue that only affect european megaserver but I am not sure if it is true.

Oki, then the problem is on European Megaserver. Take a look at this:
Below are some of the in-game issues we are currently working on fixing. Note that this list is not everything we’re working on, just the highest priority ones.

    • EU Server Lag – Some of you have been experiencing latency while playing on the European megaserver. This is something we are aware of and are actively investigating.

Zenimax is aware about the lag.

Lag is really becomming an issue. I have 60 fps when there are only few ppl arround and ~30 fps when there are like 300++. So PC is no issue. My whole guild has the lag when i do have it so it is not based on Internet speed or pc problems. Must be the server...when are u going to move to europe??

Ok guys since there are few people with issues of lag in cyrodiil the easiest way to get a fix is to flood ZoS with information.
So if you are serious about fixing this issue as soon as possible I recommend providing the following information.

    Location - City/postcode.
Server you are using - NA or EU
Your internet connection speeds, upload and download.
    Your ISP.
And which situations the lag is worst in, or if its consistent.

    Some other tips that you can do to make sure your end is running perfect;
minimise the amount of bandwidth usage, cancel background downloads etc.
Attempt to recreate the scenario outside of cyrodiil. (in a vastly populated city perhaps).
And last of all, update your cables! if you are using CAT5, maybe its time you looked into new cable! it should tell you what type of cable you are using written on the side of the cable.

P.S. Im playing in Australia on NA and receive no lag during play aside from the odd lag spike that occurs no more often then once every few hours.

I haven't been able to PvP since the game has been released because of lag on the N/A server, I don't bother trying anymore, once the PvE content gets too boring I will unsub, so much for the "Great" PvP content of this game, 200 vs 200 players? what a joke.....

It differs a lot, just tried US Wabbajack and when solo the lag is bad, when grouped it is impossible to move half the time. It is not just the EU side of things.

Playing on both servers myself and have yet to notice any difference between them, both have moments of terrible lag and times of smooth sailing.

Everyone was joking just now on US Wabba that the patch needs some serious patching since not only are there still loads of bugs, the lag is unbearable.
