One change which would make where your home campaign is more valuable and fix this problem is to limit the ability of campaign 'guests' to log in, if their alliance has a population advantage at that moment in time. Obviously you need to make sure folks already in the campaign do not lose their spot if they crash or whatever, and it needs to be a decent advantage, but unless it is your home campaign you really have no reason to log into a campaign that your faction is currently dominating on.

The issue is not the flexibility of server hopping, it is that there is too many folks that will choose to play on a server that is dominating. I honestly have no idea why, I chalk it up to brain injuries.

Reducing the number of campaigns may also help by creating more opportunities that are worth guesting on.

Auriel's Bow was at one point the most balanced campaign. It's now become a joke. AD has had complete dominance for the past 3 days. They are at max population almost 24hours a day every day. EP and DC have had 1 bar all day.

Allowing people to transfer campaigns so easily really *** everything up for this campaign.

This game's PVP is not fun when it consists of just trying to take back your two main keeps all day to avoid being spawn camped. I almost suspect that AD has let us take them a couple of times just because they are bored.
    Cyrodiil Issues as of 6/3/2014
    - Massive Lag since Craglorn patch.(Still bad lag on "Laggajack" NA and some other campaigns.)
    - Forward Camps and other Siege bugging out frequently
    - Caltrops granting Immunity to Siege Weapon Damage
    - Massive Faction Imbalances in Most Campaigns / Several Dead Campaigns
    - Mercenary Mage Spam (sometimes causing them to go invulnerable)
    - Players exploiting Keeps/Scrolls through DK Chain Pulls to go around defenses

    Yay Zenimax is doing things.

I don't understand what the developers were thinking with the amount of campaigns there are now.

It's 6:20pm EST. As of now, the only campaigns with locked populations are Auriel's Bow's Aldmeri Dominion and Wabbajack's Ebonheart Pact.

Daggerfall Covenant is at 1 bar in EVERY campaign.

I already changed camapaigns sadly, think DC has 150 people on tops most nights maybe more like a 100 or 75 to hit the two bars but who knows, between the trolls and not many people was unfun so its now my guest campaign.

Actually i was just guesting there , they are going at each other right now.

Which is a pity , i joined to try to get the 2 last skyshards i need , which are the ones behind DC last gate.

The good side is , i already got all the other skyshards and lore books.

AD did this to themselves imo. We kept pushing and EB/DC gave up. They were no longer being carried by their bat swarmers. Sad this is happening. I would like to see the action return.

Like when AD begins camping the EP spawn point/south gate, what do they believe is going to happen to this campaign?

They want it to die. It's awesome how players are so dumb they'll help strangle the life out of a game.

To be honest, you can't count on players to keep it level. ZOE needs to fix their stuff. First, remove campaign guesting or put it on a really, really long timer. I'd remove it personally. I'd also remove switching home campaigns while a campaign is in progress, reduce campaign duration to one month and mandate one campaign per account.

That would make people stick to their server and fight for their keeps instead of just running off to whatever campaign has their faction dominating. Used to be, you picked a server when creating a character and you were stuck with it, so people cared. Now they just hop because it's so easy.

AD did this to themselves alright, by stacking all the Oceanics on the same server again. They did that in GW2 as well...Why the Oceanic players keep on insisting stacking one server or one faction in every game i'll never know..You'd think they'd like to fight other players, but they seem content on bashing doors.

Something I have noticed with MMOs in general is that the Faction with the "prettiest" Races seems to always be the one that has more population than the rest. EP has Argonians, Dark Elves, and Nords not that "pretty" of races, DC has Orc, Red Guard, and Brentons A little better than EP, but Orc does not help that much; and the other two are just Humans. AD Has the Elves and Khajiit, so they have no "humans" and are probably the "prettiest" races in the game. (I prefer the look of Argonians myself.) So, once again we see the population imbalance due to race looks.

What they need is a dynamic campaign system, that tries to put you into the first campaign, but if that would cause to great an imbalance it moves to the next. So, you don't choose a home campaign, because rewards are across all campaigns. Now, Guild trying to stay together would have be given more priority for getting into a campaign that maybe already has guild members, but there would always be a hard cap to number ratios. This would stop campaign jumping and keep it interesting, because you may not always be in the same campaign. The factions leader boards could be across each campaign, and Emperor would be whoever has the highest AP value for their alliance in the campaign they are in, when the current Emperor leaves that campaign. This would also give more people the chance to be Emperor and make sure there was always one in the battle.

What really happened is that DC/EP relied too heavily on batswarm squads to carry them.

Now that they are gone, you see the results. Take their ball and cry home to mommy perhaps?

That being said, once again Aldmeri Vice was out on Bow tonight, this time on the red side having a hoot shooting bags of meat all over the group attacking farragut.

Same result as the night before with DC. We get hundreds of kills and tens of thousands of AP, die just a few times, with less than half the numbers.

I dont know where this AD zerg is you guys claim there to be but I only saw them exactly one time, when they pushed EP out of Arrius for the night. After that it was pretty much just us and a few stragglers.

Wow, this is the most inaccurate description I've seen of Auriel's Bow. But, I guess it's one of those 'Whatever you guys need to tell yourselves' kind of things.

My hope is all you AD on Auriel's Bow just stay there, lobbing bags of meat at empty enemy spawns, and your pollution doesn't infect the other campaigns.

It is easy to tell you have no idea about what is going on. Skull Crusher AD use to be the ones with their bat swarm hordes crushing the map, and eventually most DC and EP left, because there wasn't a lot of people there to begin with. Now that bat swarm is fixed it is too late for now, because Skull Crusher doesn't have the DC/EP numbers to push AD out. Anytime they do get the numbers, a bunch of AD guest in to zerg rush both factions that might have 2 population bars.

Yes..Because all of AD got together and decided..They weren't going to use Batswarms.....just DC/and EP did...

Here is what actually happened, a bunch of bad AD players from a certain part of the world decided they'd be big ole [snip], and not only pick the same faction, but also pick the same server. Now before you say "What, we're not [snip], we didn't get together and decide that" I point out the fact that every single server besides AB on AD side had 1 bar at night, while you guys had 3 bars, every single night. Now either that happened, or you all got together and decided you're going to play the actual giant *** race.

    Either way, you're giant [snip].

I can't tell if Rylana is trolling or just an idiot, but that statement should be reversed. AD relied ENTIRELY on it's batswarmer's / DK's, hell they still rely completely on their DK's to fight every battle for them.

The first day the nerf came AD got pushed hard and lost pretty much everything. But as everyone stated before while NA sleeps they bring in their full force bandwagon of idiots who have fun taking unprotected keeps and scrolls with beyond capped numbers.

Because most of us all know ways around the lock by now. Thinking its fun to do for over a month.... and they wonder why servers fall apart and try defending themselves on here is the saddest thing.

When craglorn hits the server imbalance is going to get even worse as pvp benefits will apply when running for time trails.
I just read this which tells me they know nothing of whats happening in pvp atm.

"The PvP bonuses carry over into Trials, just like all other PvE activities. We are monitoring how this plays out, but we are seeing a lot more balance in the individual campaigns and it has started to become a lot more difficult to own everything and to get all the bonuses"

Why don't the EU and Aussie AD players go onto Wabba? instead of playing on an easy win server?

Though could ask the same for EB on Wabba to go onto AB.

Anyway RvR has died down they should cut the servers down to 2 servers instead of the 10. Could fix the problem but doubt it will still have all the Aussie/EUs on different servers when they should be on the same.

Should blame Zenimax for creating too many servers but really just down to the players just wanting easy wins... though why not fight people instead of walls and npcs? You will get more AP also and it's more fun.... You guys are just going to kill AvA/RvR and it will end up like Warhammer.

The RvR mechanic has been proven to be really good for PvP balance but it doesn't help when the community are just so *** dumb... though doesn't help also when Zenimax didn't help the problem with creating too many servers as I said before.

Guesting is kinda broken anyways. We all guest on different campaigns, then use 'travel to player' to get to the campaign we want to play on. This gets around the current bug of the timer being set even though you havent guested recently. I do not think 'guesting' is as much a problem as people guesting to servers already dominating. I would rather see that a 'guest' cannot travel to player or log in to a campaign where their alliance currently has more population than the others. Only folks that are 'home' to that campaign would be able to log-in, until the population shifts to more balanced.

I like the guesting system, lets you always find a target rich environment to play on. The problem is too many are opting to play in an environment with no targets at all for the easy win.
