Welcome to my concern, I unsubbed last week. PvP is dead, I don't know if you missed my post mentioning the reasons which are someone inline with yours.

Best part ZOS doesn't care or post any intake... I'm having a feeling all their devs are now working on console and forgot about the big issue here. Yup another failed MMO on failed promise.

Bye! dont forget to delete your forum account so we dont have to read your posts.

So says the close minded guy. I rather here criticizers than just hear what I want to hear. Shows your level of intelligence.

You keep reminding everyone why you unsubbed yet your still here criticizing a game you no longer play or at least claim you no longer play since you unsubbed. Why waste your breath making such negative comments? Are you trying to get people to hate the game because you hate the game? If you unsubbed then why not bother here anymore and find a new game? Why do you feel the need to continue?

The level of intelligence you show to continue to troll on a game you claim you don't play anymore tells me its rather low as you have no where else to make your comments and nothing more to do with yourself.

Your own comment shows more that your the closed minded one. Assuming the devs only care about console and forgetting the big issues? Make all the assumptions you want but if your not going to play the game or provide positive criticism or ideas its just a waste.

I really need to apologize to you. I told you that for every post you make I was going to hit LOL on it because it brightened my day. This turned into a lie of ignorance. I could not have foreseen that I would PvP so much, or that you would whine so much, that I simply could not keep up. Sincerest apologies.

The problem as I see it isn't the zerg vs. small group vs. solo decisions \ choices. I believe that complaint is a misinterpretation of the source of the problem: boredom & lack of goals.

Kaskako, please do not take this as derogatory or condescending - it is not intended to be such and voice inflection is impossible via text, so I have to state it.

One thing that needs to change: the emperor choice needs to be much more intelligent. Incorporate win/loss ratios or something into the calculations. The Emperor should not just be "he who plays most".

But really what we need (IMO) is a PvP ranking system complete with abilities, gear, etc. a la DAOC. I realize ZOS has stated that there will never be "PvP gear" and I think Mr. Firor has a misplaced fear from DAOC about giving out abilities for PvP achievement.

But it can be done if it is done with care!
To better explain, people will keep playing in Cyrodiil if they have a goal.

If ZOS looks at adding gear, it doesn't have to be any better stat-wise than all the other gear out there... just make it LOOK awesome.

Adding abilities is much more touchy, but make them abilities that CANNOT be used outside of Cyrodiil. Thus the PvE'er does not feel the need to PvP. Also make them very difficult to obtain point-wise. And branch them out into three categories: solo-oriented, small-group, and zerg-sized. Force players to specialize their PvP \ AvA builds just like PvE does.

ZOS: You've seen the proof, you KNOW it will keep subscriptions. Matt knows it. I know he's seen it at work. There's a thousand ways to implement such programs... take what you know from your collective experience and give players a carrot at the end of a REALLY LONG STICK that is REALLY HARD TO GET but reward us for getting it.

In DAOC, the Realm Ranks kept people playing for AGES. It encouraged solo play and organized small groups. The zergs were for taking relics and players who did not have the social desire \ connections to join those elitist groups. It was an AWESOME matchup.

    Edit:

As mentioned in my initial post, at the very least they need to reduce the amount of campaigns, they're doing exactly the same as swtor did with their realms, empty servers were kept around for too long before merging. In this case it's happening with campaigns.

I kinda understand but I have to disagree. You know we'd all be here complaining about pvp not functioning at all if they had (a)not created enough campaigns on launch OR (b)created one fat one that crashed constantly due to too many people.

But I think I get your main point and I'd agree - it's time to start looking at increasing the player cap per campaign and decreasing the number available... if all of the campaign servers are showing good, solid performance of course.

I find new ways to entertain myself in PVP. Such as...

Wait.. hmm.. never mind for a moment there I thought there was a lot of PVP content.

Back on track.. Content will be added.. give it some time and find ways to entertain yourself in the meantime. There are many hours of gameplay content. If you have already burned through all of that and have lost interest then take a break.

@BrassRazoo‌ haven't seen anyone mention anything to do with skills prior to your post, I have seen one mention after your post, which attempts to split pvp and pve further, by having abilities that only work in cyrodiil. We've been discussing something else completely, so there was no need for you to come along and make a post that adds nothing to the conversation.

You clearly underestimate the size of the PvP community and it's importance to the PvE aspect of the game. Most pvpers end up pveing too, works the other way around too, but probably to a lesser extent.

@paulhbowmanb14_ESO kinda what i've been trying to say, they need to add incentives to pvp, currently there's pretty much no point to it other than to have fun, and as i've stated it's not fun when a campaign is empty or when its too full that there are queues and servers lag. 3 month campaign also means there is little chance for players to catch up to people who have been living in cyrodiil all along if they wanted to go for emperorship (which is pretty much the only enticing thing in cyrodiil currently).

You mention a carrot on a very long stick, i'd say the same, but with tiny lil baby carrots along the way, in order to give people a feeling of achievement. Tho I could continue without such carrot, at the very least capturing objectives would need more meaning.

I doubt they can increase the population caps in cyordiil without encountering even more lag. They need to manage to get their servers more stable when cyrodiil reaches such cap. The problem is, there are 4 servers being used by most players, while the other 6 are being ignored and/or being dominated by a single alliance the whole time with little to no opposition.
