Sorc is out of control now that there is no counter anymore.

    To ZoS : Welcome to the downward spiral you have initiated when you aggree to nerf the vamp instead of recoding how their skills work. Now that we know that by shouting loud enough and long enough in the forums and reddit, you will bend by our will. Have fun.
    For all you know, they might have realized the problem from playing their own game. Most developers don't just say: "Oh, all these people are complaining, lets nerf it", they actually look at the problem and decide if it needs adjustment. Besides, many abilities are used in ways that the developers did not intend, and Devouring Swarm with ultimate reduction was an example of this. I just don't know why people see balance changes as a bad thing.

    They see it as a bad thing because they don't consider it overpowered since they're using it. The mentality of the people against balance is its fine as long as it benefits me, anyone that says otherwise is just bad at the game.

    Yes, the Sorc BE is OP for 2 reasons.
    1. Sorc can runaway anytime.
    Sorc can BE anytime after starting combat, after using a few skills and a single target ultimate. Hitting him with stun does not help because as a magica based DPS he will have stamina to break cc and BE away the horizon.
    He will replenish his magica with dark conversion after blinking a few times,and blinking a few times is really enough, because his enemy will be in combat unable to ride a horse. After which he can repeat attacking forever.
    Is moving fast OP, no.
    Is attacking someone and being able to run away anytime while your opponent is in the combat status therefore unable to ride a horse, and being able to outrun opponents using retreating maneuver OP, yes it is.

    2. There is no way to counter a BE.
    ATM, there is no counter to a BE.
    If there was a counter to this, even one that takes a whole slot, it wouldn't be OP in a real sense. Currently there is no counter to stop a Sorc from BEing away from combat.
    Stun does not work.
    Root does not work.
    Nothing can stop a Sorc from BEing away from combat.

    Indeed, good tactic: sorcerers as decoys. Sorcerers are great for hit and run tactics and for luring enemies into ambushes or creating diversions.
    Nobody expect them to fight like tanks :D

    Sorcerer can kill other sorcerer .. this is not one on one game .. and i have seen Archers kill sorc i have seen our sorc intercept and stun other sorc just long enough that we kill him so

    DK can stay in middle of combat 10 minutes with all his skills up .. so this is not OP?

    NB hiding and vanishing in midle of combat so it is untargetable is also OP ?

    Sorcerer that run, dont do damage he is out of mana ...

    But this is more about the exploiting sorcs atm which ruins every single attempt to pvp outside of large zergs(be it 1vs1/4vs4 or 8vs8). And because of that I like to watch how long they need to fix sorc. :>

    Anyone that goes from Sorc, Temp or DK TO nightblade is in for a rude awakening lol. Probably half our skills, or more, are completely bugged and the other half do crap damage in comparison to the other classes. Now, if they brought back bow the way it was in beta, pre-nerf damage, then NB would be sexy again.

    Nerfing vamps? lol. reduction adjustement, to avoid lolexploiters is a nerf? lol.... lol.... on downward spiral is the player IQ who need to exploit abilities to overcome their failure. bashspam, swarmspam, and now they QQ that they cant exploit anymore. Not QQ about passives not working nooooo. ppl QQ about fixed exploits HAHH....

    Nightblades need some buffs, but the issues with that class do not lie in the Storm Calling tree for Sorcs.

    Keep this in mind about Bolt Escape: When a sorc is spamming it to flee, they've admitted defeat. They are expending magicka, and they are not regenning it (BE debuffs the caster, reducing regen to zero for a few seconds). As Cyrodil is objective-based combat, that means you won whatever piece of ground you're standing on.

    It's frustrating to have someone escape, because you want the kill. That's not the same thing as losing, however. I also think anyone who played a vampire in PvP should have a 30-day timeout on calling anything else overpowered ;)

    Simple solution, Give Templar's a single target 2-3 sec silence as a morph off of blinding light to replace searing light. It'd be about time templar's had something to fight with

    op, i want you to compare a sniper rifle to a carbine, go ahead ill wait. now each is different right. good. each is used in different situtations right, so a soldier using one could take out the other if the conditions are right. good.

    figure out how to use your class to defeat another.

    Whats templars got to do with this? This about some people Moaning because they lost to a sorc. With all the gap closers around from different lines. Plus pull on the DK. Look at it this way NB get stealth. Dk's Get pull and Dk standard which is literally a brilliant move. Templars are the dedicated healing class. And Sorcs are the traditional casting class with an escape.

    I've seen other games with similar mechanics but they can't use it as much but this is in small scale pvp Cyrodiil is massive if they started nerfing these escape mechanics etc its going to annoy people so much all the time when they end up getting mowed over by the mindless zerg. Currently it does cost quite a bit Some may get set bonuses which help negate that fact but you can't go increasing its cost because everyone who was a sorc would have to get that set then. I know for one i get pulled all the time when i am using blink. And i have the ball of lightning morph.

    In further news last night a Templar got 4 shot in Cyrodiil by a hidden Sorc. Sorc dies later to Fiery Talons/bash spam. More news at 11.....

    You're doing it wrong, Bolt Escape teleports you 15 meters instantly, Dragonknights Fiery Grip has a travel time which is slower than the speed Bolt Escape moves. Instant is actually faster than something with a travel time.

    Do either of the morphs remove the travel time of the chain? No? Then why are you mentioning it? Every Sorcerer seems to be lacking basic logic/reason/comprehension skills. Teleporting instantly is faster than a projectile having to cross the terrain at a set speed.

    If you don't go afk between casts of Bolt Escape you can get away.

    The game just started. You guys are trail blazers. You are veteran rank, or serious PVP'ers and your successes are showing the developers what is possible.

    I am a slow, old, player and I do not have a veteran yet. Instead I am leveling five characters at the same time.

    By the time I am a veteran your successes will be something I will never be able to obtain.

    You are the demigods of the game whose stories I will forever look at from the bottom of the mountain, while you have stood on the mountain top.

    Stop being fricking babies. It's a new game and they are going to be making changes. Enjoy your successes and think of ways to create new ones.

    I guess that you haven't figured out that in this game as long as you're in range when the ability is cast while the target is in range then it will still hit the target that has moved out of range or LoS. But I'm the one that needs to learn how the game works because I'm the stupid one.......

    As long as they're in range, and guess what 2 casts of bolt escape does in the time it takes for a projectile to travel to the Sorcerer? That's right they get out of range. Hey guys Bolt Escape has plenty of counters all you need is for the Sorcerer to stop using it after one cast.

    Nope, like I said before normally we roll with between 8-10 players. All of us are former DAoC players so we play pretty well with each other. We avoid the zerg but set up picket lines in the enemy zergs backfield and play blocking force for their reinforcements.
