Ok since when did the AD become so popular

Like back in beta every one was on EB, and AD,Dagger were getting crushed. Even most of the polls out there steered towards EB nord, dark elf players. Now in most of the campaigns ad is winning by a significant amount... whats up with that

Kitties got crit, and it seemed like 90% of the popular members of the ESO community (most notably the guys at Tamriel Foundry and Shoddy Cast) went AD, so their followers went with them.

And judging from the PvP campaign populations there are more EU players than NA.
If that's true the polls made could have been tipped by us EU players.

TBH I could have gone Altmer or Dunmer and enjoyed the lore and sorcery roles... I went Dunmer in the betas and just couldn't get over the racial passives compared to Altmer for the stick wielding shock casting sorcerer I was planning.

IDK what happened we were in 3rd place on AB for the first week or 2... then I think we had an influx of other servers or something and it was a fair good fight everyday based on timezones... It has swung unbalanced factions again IMO.

I've always played an altmer in single-player TES, so no change here. That said, I also have a dunmer in EP and a Breton in DC. /shrug

I went AD first cause of two reasons:
You can find factions using red or blue in just about every mmo that has factions. And I like the color yellow better.

But in all honesty I went D-Fall Cov because during beta I fell in love with the early storyline with the crew of privateers and characters like Jakarn.

I didn't like Ebonhart's early content, but then I played that first and when the game was the most rough. I remember getting too far at too early a level and dying a lot.

I recalled feeling a bit lost when I did AD content in Beta but I was also working a lot of long overnight shifts during that point, so I was probably half asleep. More than once I remember waking up and realizing I had fallen asleep during testing.

So to D-Fall I returned, and I've become rather loyal, because who doesn't love an underdog?

Honestly, I have a theory on why Dominion became so popular...

The first PVP beta test we were assigned factions by email but it didn't stop you from selecting a different faction. The problem was that it wasn't clear in that client version how to change factions and the default was Aldmeri. As a result the Covenant had a 3 to 1 or higher advantage as many players didn't read the e-mail all the way through or didn't figure out how to change factions.

It only makes sense that after a weekend of dominating with their Covenant teammates some people would become loyal, perhaps even enough people that it's still effecting PVP balance now.

I've been playing in the Covenant but now you've got me wanting to see why the quests are so cool in the Dominion. Gee thanks a lot, I try and keep my altaholism under control but someone always enables me.
