Grand soul gem requirement for upscales

Why should it require a grand soul gem for an upscale to res from a PVE death in Cyrodiil? We don't get them as drops from anything like level 50+ do. I can understand for ressing others in PVP fights but not for self ressing after dying in a delve.

So, you want the benefit of being upscaled in your stats, but not the cost of a rez?? Oh and you can buy empty grand soul gems for 121g. And fill them with the free ability granted in the Soul Magic line, I believe it is.

I'm more annoyed at the fact that you can't rez yourself, after being killed by a player, using a grand soul gem. It's happened to me while I was in a group AND when I was solo pvping. I get killed and instead of using one of the 30+ grand gems I have to rez myself, even after the battle has moved away from me by about 200+ meters, I still can't self rez in pvp. Kinda sucks tbh.

Why not, It's no big deal to get Grand Soul Gems. The Siege Master sells them cheaply enough and you can fill them by wading through a few mobs around Cyrodill.
I've got dozens - had them since level 10.

It's a pity people aren't a bit more savvy about this - they're not used any where near as much as they should. The chances of getting a rez off a stranger even a fellow 'pug' are nil.

Not to derail, but this would diminish the death penalty and potentially lead to people dying in keeps and simply waiting until everyone leaves to rez themselves and take the keep back.

People just don't like the idea that there are so many money sinks in this game, this being one of them. At the lower levels I was pinching pennies in order to get my horse. After getting my horse I don't care too much about money.

You can buy 4 grand soulgems per day with the daily quest.

Having all scaled players use Grand Soul Gems means that I can resurrect anyone on the battlefield with the same type of Gem whether they are 10, 25, 36, or 47.
I don't see an issue.

This is for self ressing not ressing other players. If it costs grand soul gems I should be able to loot grands, rather than minors, while playing in Cyrodiil. As it is though I loot minors which are worthless in cyrodiil., and yes, there are enough gold sinks as it is and since gold at low levels is entirely from quests and is sparse.. not in a hurry to spend it on things that other people get for free.

If you die to NPC you can self rez.
