I have only been working on alchemy, but break down everything I get, it has leveled all trade skills. (also created some basic food)

Got to 50 Blacksmith but only ever made about 10 items with it.

    Thanks!

I'm just trying to get the crafting community to have a little more synergy and unity. With any luck, we can all trade more information and make crafting much more fun and enjoyable for everyone.

I'm working on a couple of different skills
I wasn't sure which option to go with, although as I am working on a select few crafts on each character, this option made the most sense. One character is working on Blacksmithing, Woodworking and Provisioning. Another is working on Clothier, Alchemy, Enchanting and Provisioning. I found Provisioning incredibly easy to level, so doing it on two characters isn't an issue. If I ever do respec, I'll remove Provisioning from the second character as it's level 50... and as of now, I don't use it.

At this stage, most of the crafts are between levels 5 and 15, while Provisioning is either 30+ or 50 depending on the character. I probably should've condensed the armour creation skills to one character to save on motifs, but whatever ~ I craft the armour they primarily use and that's enough for me.

I too wasn't exactly sure about which option to pick, so I ended up going with the one that best represents my situation at the moment.

My Sorcerer is currently working on Enchanting, with some Clothing and Woodworking. However, I fully intend to master all crafts with this character at a later stage. I will probably only concentrate on 2-3 crafts in each wave. I have managed to keep my inventory manageable this way.

I didn't see a huge need to try and juggle everything with crafting. If I want to do another craft later on its not hard to do. From decon itself you can level up enough. There are plenty of skill points about as well. Plus if I need something I can't do myself I ask one of the other crafters in my guild to help out, its how we work.

At the moment I'm doing Provisioner and really everyone should, Blacksmith, Enchanter. As a DK that means the only real thing I have to find from others is specialist potions and someone to make a shield/bow.

Well, technically it's "working on a few specific ones" as my main will outlevel my alts in terms of "stuff gathered". However, I currently feed my other crafting alts any herbs/runes/blacksmithing things I get, so everyone is actually about level with each other  Well, except for my blacksmithing, oddly enough. You'd think with all those weapons I send her she'd not lag so far behind lol.
    Currently Playing:
Sorcerer Claudia Warren May, lvl 40. Woodworking 25/Clothing 25/Provisioning 50.
    Dragon Knight, lvl 8. Blacksmithing/Enchanting.
    Nightblade, lvl 3. Alchemy.
    Templar, lvl 7.

I'm doing all, on different chars.

But I have no intention of participate on any market, I do the crafting for myself, and, if I get to be good enough, for my guild too (for now, in my guild there are far better crafters than me in every craft.)

But I don't intend to craft to sell and make gold, maybe for trading for other stuff or free for my guild.

It helps if you use the alchemy ingredients as you get them then vendor the potions that you don't need. I somehow got 50 provisioning at level 13... However, I feel for you on Enchanting... that one is last on my priority list. I've seen how hard it is to level up... x_x

The cool thing about Alchemy in my opinion is that you make potions with whatever plants you find to level it up. I've never used a potion of Spell Crit or anything like that. But once you do get it to 50, which is almost as easy as Provisioning, you only need to continue to keep 3 plants, Bugloss, Columbine, and Mountain Flower. Those 3, with Laboratory Use, make potions that heal all three attributes.

Now if Snakeblood (to improve the amount healed) and Medicinal Use (to extend the HoT effect) were fixed, those potions would be much better.

I do not do alchemy because pcp is not my main focus at the moment and I feel it is only useful there.
Found all fun to lvl up and really useful.
Enchanting is faster to lvl up with a partner because you do not find as many material to enchanting as the other crafts.

Can add I have no problem with bank what so ever not even at low lvl. I have added 1 mule now but it was not necessary but made it easier.

Posted before I voted but I voted as working on a couple of different skills. :)

I levelled Provisioning and Alchemy to 50 quickly and since my main is a DPS sorc I started working on Clothing (light armor focus) and Woodworking (fire staff focus) as well. Clothing is now at 50 and Woodworking just hit 40 last night. I have also been actively working on Enchanting since launch but have only managed to get to level 28 (NEARLY 29!) thus far.

I'm a collector. I pick up EVERYTHING so crafting is just a natural extension for me. :)

Clothing and Woodwork myself. I'm just actively doing light and medium simply because so much that I find goes with both trait lines. Didn't feel like selling it if I was just going to use it later. Course, this does mean I have close to 30 pieces of armor taking up bank space...

    I'm primarily a Provisioner
My main character, a sorcerer, has 3 crafting skills: Provisioning, Alchemy, and Cloth. Provisioning is my top skill because it provides excellent buffs that can be used by all my characters and I can help my friends too. Alchemy comes next mostly for health, magic, and stamina potions. Then cloth because it can provide armor for my sorcerer and my nightblade.
My second character, a nightblade, has 2 crafting skills: Woodworking and Enchanting. Woodworking is coming along well, but Enchanting is very difficult to level.
My third character, a DK, does Metalworking and that is coming along.

    I'm primarily a Provisioner
My first character is 50 in provisioning, and 21 enchanter. I primarily worry about provisioning; that is I get the blue and purple recipes when I can, and look at every provisioning node to find the stuff I want. I sell food and drink in game (might have seen me as the Traveling Tavern on the NA server). I use provisioning to fund everything else in the game for myself and my husband. And I find it extremely useful for myself as wel.

That being said I've stopped playing that character (a NB) except TO provision, and enchant a bit, and created what is now my main character. On her I have 35 clothier, 32 woodworking and 30 blacksmithing. During a recent respect, I dropped blacksmithing, but continue to decon stuff and sell the mats instead of just selling the dropped gear. All of our toons wear cloth and use staffs and bows. Maybe I'll put points back into BS if I ever make a DK. For now, I make maybe 90% of my own gear, and about 50% of my husbands gear. I don't sell gear right now, just doing it for us.

I only use my provisioning alt to hold her own provisioning and enchanting ingredients/mats. I have one bank mule who holds all the stuff you want to keep but don't use often, like disguises and trophies, and a stack of each of the cloth and wood mats I've outleveld.

My bank has 90 slots, my main has 80 (+5 from her horse), my alt has 80 (+ 12 from her horse so far, going to aim for 20+ now on her horse). I don't need more bank space, even though I was leveling every profession except alchemy, because I don't keep all the mats after I outlevel them.

I used to spend a lot of time every day managing inventory, but have since gotten he hang of it, and now only log onto my alt once a day to grab the prov and enchant stuff out of the bank at the end of the day.
Owner of the Traveling Tavern, serving superior and consummate foods and drinks for all your leveling needs! :p
The Traveling Tavern is now closed, until veteran loot tables and rare food mats are fixed. I am very sorry to all my loyal customers!

Plan to max all but working by focus on one at a time. Now focused on Enchanting, which is slow going but I made it to 23 so I keep dragging on. Kinda wish I had began with it instead of Provisioning. But then maybe I would have none maxed yet. At least I keep my research up and my Blacksmithing to make my own weapons and armor.

But I'm tempted to make a second char just to experience no crafts at all! But I'll wait until I finish my crafts

I'm working on a couple of different skills
I tried all of the crafts in beta and I must say I do like all of them. However, I knew from that experience what a nightmare it is to manage all of them. My SO and I split up the crafts early on and it has worked swimmingly. He handles the Blacksmithing, Woodworking, Clothing. I handle all the consumables (Provisioning, Alchemy, Enchanting). There were a lot of advantages to this arrangement. For one, we only needed one copy of every racial motif rather than multiple for several characters. Secondly, inventory management is much easier since we don't both need massive stacks of racial or trait stones. Gives me a lot more space to keep a good stock of consumables materials. Third, we share drops so he gets twice as many rawhides as he would for the same amount of mobs. Lastly, we often forward customers to each other. He can make some gear for someone and I can offer an enchantment as a bundle deal.

We both sell our work. He makes set pieces and sells traits primarily. My biggest clients look for bulk Provisioning or mid to high level enchantments. Business really started to pick up around character level 20-30. I think that's the magic level where most of the jack-of-all-trades types begin to simplify and drop a few professions.

My favorite part of the economy is the ability to barter. I have often entered into trading deals wherein no gold exchanged hands. There are of course the Enchanting buddies (of which I have 5 now). In addition to that, I tell all of my customers that I will happily accept certain items as full payment or partial payment, depending on the value of the item being offered of course. This has worked out well for both parties. They get goods that they otherwise could not afford if listed outright on a store. I get mats or recipes that I would otherwise have to hunt down myself.

I'm 50 Prov, Alchemy, and BS/Cloth/WW plus 34 Enchanting. I spam Enchanting with an Enchanting buddy (sameish level) and it's beyond horrible to level. I would be 50 on all if I bought mats to level them seriously but I level as I play so it's a tad slower. I'm also close to being one of the first (not THE first) 8 trait researched on multiple items, so that's a load off.
