Why dynamic population balancing and soft caps are necessary to save AvA.

No, horrible idea. Lets just keep people from playing with their faction/guild/friends. Thats what you are suggesting. Better suggestion just move to a different campaign

This wouldn't affect anyone in the slightest, with perhaps the exception of a super guild trying to flood the same campaign. To resolve this for those who may complain, ZOS could easily make a rule set for "super guilds and alliances with 100+ active members." This would prevent these players from flooding other campaigns and crippling AvA for the rest of the ESO community.

The truly hilarious thing is they are absolutely terrible.

They manage to cap a few empty maps but the second they go on a campign with any opposition they get the crap kicked out of them.

A friend of my wifes linked her a stream where they went on Bloodthorn (I think) and they were constantly getting wiped.

    I giggled.

This is why groups like this, whether they are terrible or know what they are doing, should be discouraged from this behavior.

ZOS has already indicated that this is almost exclusively a NA Megaserver issue as the players on the EU Megaserver stick to their campaign. They are actually building faction pride and they care for their alliance on their campaign. On the NA Megaserver, half of these players are acting like mercenaries going wherever they can "dominate."

Campaigns should be reduced to either three or four, and the cost of transferring should be raised back to 100,000 AP. These two actions alone would largely fix half the issues with AvA. Soft caps and a dynamic population balancing system could be implemented as a last case resort to further maintain competition.

The longer ZOS decides to wait and not address this issue, however, the more players will be discouraged by AvA and may not come back. Seeing how important the health and stability of AvA is to ESO, I hope ZOS would not be foolish enough to squander its future away without trying to address its shortcomings.
