What a damn piece of [snip] this game has become...
I'm serious. GG, ZoS. You really did a great job getting us to this point.
So, since this is a multiplayer game, I guess we should just accept:
ESO = queue -> skip -> skip -> skip -> *** -> kick-> skip -> skip -> loot -> leave.
Nah... this doesn't seem right at all.
How in the hell is this okay for so many of you? And, how is this okay for ZoS? Since ZoS doesn't seem to be taking any real action to address this.
And again... if this game isn't completely cooked already, it's only a matter of time. Because this dam game is completely [snip].
Trials are already a damn mess because of DPS power creep.
And now it's dungeons too?
How sad is this?
- Grab all the pledges.
- Queue as my correct role.
- Wait for the queue.
- Enter veteran Lep Seclusa. All I want to do is play the damn game... that's it.
- They immediately skip all the trash.
- At Lewin Frey, they all try to skip him. I stay and start fighting him because I just want to actually play.
They get mad because I just want to play. So I said: "im here to play the game. You want to skip? Play alone, or kick me".
A vote-kick solves the problem for everyone. They get the group they want, and I can queue again without any penalty.
No drama. No arguing. Just a simple vote-kick.
But of course, just a vote-kick wasn't enough...
And this is the result...
The price I pay for playing the game.
The price I pay for having ESO+.
The price I pay just for logging in...
[snip]
Dear ZoS... can we even play this game anymore? Without being offended, excluded, gatekept, or whatever other reason people come up with...
Can we just play the damn game?
Congratulations. You have really managed to create one of the most toxic communities in gaming. Congratulations!
Btw, I did report it... Please don't forget to reply with the usual: "No action has been taken against the reported account".

Engaging an optional mini boss without communicating with your group is rude. If you had said you needed the gear or buffs (although iirc this boss doesn't give a buff) or what have you, I'm sure they would have been happy to do it. Even a simple heads up would have given them warning you wanted the minis.
You started it. Asking you to say something if you want an optional boss is a fair ask. You didn't have to be rude about it.
To act like that and then come to the forum pretending to be a victim is nonsense behavior.
It’s a multiplayer game so you know you sign up for playing with other people; good or bad. It is like that in all multiplayer experiences.
If that infuriates you so much, you should invest time in single player RPG’s. There everything is fully under your control. No reason to get that worked up about a videogame.

But....is this a zos problem or is it a generalized people problem we have now days? Since a certain man became powerful it seems a whole subset of people are using it as an excuse to be total (snips). This doesn't seem like a zos problem to me. It seems more just like the overall decline in decency we're seeing far too much of these days.
1. People use the queue to rush through their dailies. You might get a hello at the start, but the likelihood is that you'll get 3 dps and a tank or 4 dps and 1 with a taunt (if you're lucky) and you're going to do ONLY the bosses needed for the pledge. You MIGHT get mobs. You likely will not get side bosses. The queue is SLOW if you're a dps, so you'll also get fake tanks and healers who, again- if you're lucky, have a taunt and a group heal.
Sample size: one (1) dungeon. Conclusion: somehow ESO is on the same level of toxicity as COD, Rust, Ark, etc.
If the system consistently allows one group of players to dictate how everyone else has to play, and there are no real consequences for that behavior, then yes, I absolutely think that's a ZOS problem.
Let me tell you a story. Once there was an Imperial consul stationed in Blackwood who wanted to hire workers for his vineyard. The workload was heavy, so he headed to the labor market before dawn. There he spotted an Argonian and agreed on a wage with him. At midday, he went back and hired another Argonian in the same fashion. In the afternoon, he still found himself short‑handed, so he hired yet another Argonian as he had done before. By evening, one more worker was needed to wrap up the work. He returned to the labor market and saw an Argonian standing there. He asked him, “What are you doing here? Why are you looking for work so late?”
The Argonian replied, “Ah, if my kinsmen told you I am lazy, that is true. Most days I prefer to lie about in the mud, yet I take odd jobs to get by.” The consul struck a bargain and hired him as well.
When payday came, he called the Argonians forward. He gave the first Argonian one gold coin, the sum they had agreed upon. The second Argonian also received one gold coin. The third had arrived at midday and done far less work than the first two, yet the consul gave him one gold coin too. The first two said nothing, knowing that though this Argonian had started late, he had endured the blazing heat.
When it was time for the last Argonian to collect his pay, the first three, aware of his reputation for laziness, waited to mock him. But the consul gave him one gold coin all the same.
Furious, the three Argonians confronted the consul. “Why do you pay him the same as us when he has done so little work? Who will want to labour for you after this?”
The consul led them outside the estate to a disabled Argonian beggar, who scraped by on the kindness of his fellow Argonians. Nearly every local Argonian had given him alms, for they regarded one another as brothers sprung from the same tree. The consul tossed a gold coin into the beggar’s bowl and said, “You hypocrites. I have paid you what we agreed. Do you begrudge me for showing charity?”
What moral does this story teach? Standards you hold up as justice, when imposed upon others, may themselves become injustice.
You claimed that those three players ought to be punished for voting to kick you, and that ZeniMax Online Studios would be complicit in wrongdoing if they took no action. Are you not like those three Argonians, calling your own feelings justice?
I say this: you can ease your anger by understanding the behaviour of speed‑run players, and find a joy rooted in empathy as you learn to see things from others’ perspectives. You may of course hold onto your anger and keep filing reports, but what will you gain in the end? I hope your rage does not take a toll on your own well‑being.

Eeeeeh it's not just a sample size of one. There's enough of us out here who have relentlessly bad luck with RNDs to say there's a broad problem with toxicity in the mid-tier PvE community. At least in Ark, Rust, and COD you can hit someone back when they're being a bit of a flumbleglump.
