I think I just got dedossed

I was in kavatch on my main character when all of the sudden my game framrate went to trash and I got an Internet error while still having internet. Tried logging back in, I got an internal error. Now I am just getting error 307 booted from server. I can't get back in.

Edit: I was able to get back on. The different errors I got plus the drop in rate still has me thinking it was a targeted attack though.

Nvm I got back in just now. Still this is my third dedoss attack this past month alone. Yes it was a dedoss attack. I don't have proof but the signs were there.

Just because you are paranoid doesn't mean they are not after you. Stay safe.

I think the term you were looking for was "DDoSed" - "doxxed" is when your private information gets published without your consent.

And while it's theoretically possible that someone targetted your internet connection to get you kicked out of the game, there are plenty of other things that can happen between your PC/console and the ESO servers (that would only affect that connection) that would produce exactly the same symptoms.

Bottom line is, if you get a 307 error again, the best course of action is to quit the game completely and give it a few minutes (5 iirc) before trying to connect/login again.

It's not paranoia when it has happened to me a few times already. The last one before this one happened during the jubilee event over in Craglorn Spellscar fire area while I was in a group leveling our characters all four of us got dropped at the exact same time and while three of us were on the same Internet connection. The 4th was someone on a completely different connection and location than us. Others in the area got hit too and when they relogged chat was talking about it.

Drops and desyncs seem to be more common since the Tamriel Tomes became available. I suspect there's just a lot more people hitting the servers and systems haven't adjusted yet. I've had a couple of odd glitches myself, such as suddenly being back at the character selection screen when transitioning to a subzone, or just having the game hang completely when trying to load into a home or dungeon. I'd be very reluctant to attribute that to malice (unless I'd been super annoying in PvP, which isn't ever going to happen )
