Stealth and Swimming

Weren't we able to remain in stealth while swimming? Am I remembering this incorrectly? I have searched the patch notes and don't see anything about a change to this.

No. Never been a thing afaik.

There was a recent patch that removed the ability to be stealthed while swimming. Maybe it'll return if we get a proper "diving" mechanic.

I'm searching for when this happened, but it appears that in 2023 there was a change that allowed stealth swimming.

Twas a bug. I think there were a few situational lingering aspects that caused a stealth state to not drop but they were cleared up in U48.

Twas a bug. I think there were a few situational lingering aspects that caused a stealth state to not drop but they were cleared up in U48.

Thank you! I was searching for 'stealth' not 'crouch'. No wonder I was not seeing it come up.

No prob. Never experienced the issue myself, as I tend to only stealth when pickpocketing.

I remember the change but I don’t think I ever saw it mentioned in the patch notes. I assumed it was intentional but maybe it wasn’t.

I used the feature primarily when harvesting surveys, to avoid aggroing monsters near them. Sometimes you'd have to go into the water to reset a survey.

It also just makes sense, you're moving slowly and quietly through the water.
