One more nail for class identity. No leader boards for classes.

This feels like the final blow for a competitive aspect to classes. No reason to run vma on different classes to see where it stacks up. No reason the change characters to run the weekly multiple times. No reason to have different builds on different classes because the scores will be lost to those who beam. This one hurts more than it should.

You are already competing scores with subclassed players though, labeling them by class won't stop anyone from using beam, that ship has long since sailed.

Good or bad, it's a change that makes sense since your base class doesn't really mean much anymore, though I disagree they should be account bound, they should keep it character based and have your skill lines listed on your score, alongside the ability to search/filter scores by specific lines.
@MorvanClaude on PC/NA, don't try to trap me with lore subjects, it will work

I agree. Classes are dead wether I like it or not. Wether or not leaderboards still show them as separate is irrelevant.

account bound makes a lot more sense, especially for trial leaderboards which are already cluttered. Theres only 100 places on the actual leaderboard, one player taking up 2 or 3 places makes a pretty big difference.

Instead of making a new one for subclass enjoyers we're yet again getting a stick.

They could easily mitigate that by increasing the numbers of players per score as they mentioned on the patch notes, it's not like we have a gigantic end-game community scorepushing anyway.

Though I understand your point, it's a solution that creates another problem, you'd have more room for people but you would also remove any reason to do your weekly scores on different characters.

Actually subclassing provides greater class diversity which I'm all for, I hope one they remove picking a class at the start and just allow you customise from day 1 of a new character into whatever you want.

Moving more towards account wide will make things like cross play and cross progression easier to manage

It will provide greater diversity once they buff underperforming lines, right now everyone is just beaming with Herald, exactly the same as before subclassing, nothing really changed much.

Classes should've been removed from leaderboards long ago. It makes sense to rank players by performance, rather than rank characters by performance.

The same should apply to MMR — a player's skill doesn't diminish when they swap characters.
PC/NA — Lone Werewolf, the EP Templar Khajiit Werewolf

Werewolf Should be Allowed to Sneak
Please give us Werewolf Skill Styles (for customizing our fur color), Grimoires/Scribing skills (to fill in the holes in our builds), and Companions (to transform with).

Skill doesn't change. Class viability does however.

Yeah. The fix for balancing beam was to give it to all classes..

Infinite Archive allows 700 players to get a spot in weekly ranks.
If these get cut to 100 total it won't achieve better competition, it will discourage a lot of players from competing at all. (EDIT: especially when platforms are going to be merged soon!)
I understand the reasoning, but still... This stinks.
