Since the PTS activity this update is rather low, I'd urge you to watch this 2 minute video and read the comments in regards to the week 4 Warmask nerf.

Over 80+ comments within 3 hours, many of which paroting similar feelings on discord. I haven't seen a single person in defense of these changes, while in the previous week there was at least debate and excitement about something new. I think that speaks volumes, especially coming from 1 of your largest content creators and his community surrounding PvE.

Is this a "mission accomplished" by your metrics to give it no purpose in PvE, while making it virutally the same in PvP?

Situations like this really fuel the narrative fire that you don't play or understand your own game when you constantly make unfun, uninspiring, and unjustified changes.
Antlers will no longer grow out of your neck when wearing the Warmask.

What is even the point of this change, why are we removing unique visual effects? What was the end goal here? Why is there no dev comment so we can better understand why you made these changes, whether we agree or not, at least we could understand your perspective.

Honestly... minor berserk is not so bad if, like me, you just don't have that. I know that 15% + 5% !== 20%, but it's still good.

Wish it was working as described though, because at the moment, minor berserk is nowhere to be found.

This must be referring to PvP. In PvE, the minor berserk can be provided with Combat Prayer which makes this minor buff redundant. Taking the damage down to 15%, reducing cleave damage, and giving it a buff that can be readily available makes this mythic subpar to Velothi. The way the Mythic was before this nerf created a welcome separation between Velothi and Huntsman’s. Being able to change a mythic situationally would have been fantastic. It didn’t just get nerfed; it got nuked.

Correct! My opinions are always from a PVP lens :)

Say it with me now: "Damage Done To Monsters". There, so easy. Now revert the nerf back up to 20%.

Yep.. although, even when they try we get something like this:

Beacon of Oblivion - ...While you do not have a permanent pet active, increase your Damage Done and Healing Done by 15%. This value is reduced to 5% while affected by Battle Spirit.

What spreadsheet told them 5% is a worthy 5 piece bonus for PvP? Despite the unjustified nerfs this week, I'd rather have this version than whatever they come up with using Battlespirit because they have shown absolutely 0 reason to believe they can do it properly.

the more i think about the last few years of item sets the more i'm convinced that whoever is responsible for item set deisgn and balance has literally no idea what they are doing.

Very curious that this temporary buff occured during the Steam ESO sale... Not saying there's any correlation, but it is an uncanny coincidence.

    Huntsman's Warmask.

Change minor berserk to minor slayer.
    Just saying.

Regardless, can we just have the minor buff at all times. Why link it to the mark? Why make your job harder? Work smarter, not harder guys

You know, I'd like that. Always a bit miffed that I need to use a Trials 5-piece set to access that buff. Limits options.

But also yeah, not too interested in using this in PvE anymore. Velothi is already giving me Minor Force at all times (+10% crit damage, and I have more than 50% crit chance), requires no setup, affects all enemies at the same time, and I can source Minor Berserk easily through Banner.

With the new change to the mythic if I were to use it I'd drop merciless off my backbar, change Banner to Savagery, slap Trap Beast on (More DoT/buff management, yay...), all just to add the DoT damage of Trap Beast (losing some direct damage from needing a GCD to cast it over other skills, also being a DoT is not affected by some sets EG: Merciless Charge, Tide-born) and Light Attacks to a single target applied with a 10s cooldown between applications (room for error of application, cumbersome to use against chaff).

WHILE ALSO DEALING: 65% less cleave damage. (Comparatively, probably a bit less given Velothi being additive), and if deciding not to use it during chaff burn you deal 15% less damage comparatively.

I'm not mentioning the resource restore since I think its rather minor, and against bosses you would not be using this effect on chaff anyway.

Sure, this will parse higher single-target (given the addition of LA damage and Trap Beast DoT), but I'mma stick to Velothi's ease of use and broad application without neutering my cleave. Warmask doesn't provide a provoking enough difference (playstyle, damage, or appearance/theme) in gameplay that I'd use it.

PvP, still gonna use Oakensoul or Monomyth for ganking. (Not that I want this mythic to be useful for ganking), and it still seems like there will be tradeoffs via the reduced damage to others.
