Do you consider ultimate generation on the Live server to be too high or too low?

I want to start this poll to gauge the community's current stance on ultimate generation, how it may be different or similar to dev's thoughts, and why. Hopefully that way there can be a better understanding of the goals, wants, and needs of the players.

I have my own thoughts on the matter but I'd rather not share to avoid poisoning the well. Don't want the poll or discussion to be too biased or emotional.

For reference, here is what the devs had to say about it.
Over time, Ultimate has become more and more accessible to players, greatly increasing the frequency in which these combat altering abilities can be activated. This has allowed for strategies that hyper focus on the generation of this resource to amass and creep up over time, creating cases where some Ultimates can be activated incredibly quickly. We're going through many sources of Ultimate and converting effects over to the Major and Minor system so they still offer powerful bonuses, but with a much more controlled ceiling. We've started with class passives in efforts to make it harder to stack their effects with subclassing in mind, while also trying to mitigate the need to gain this effect from things like scribed abilities or consumables.

If you specifically build for it you get an active, challenging gameplay that is high investment/high reward. That's not "too high". It's exactly as it should be.

Let Werewolf generate and use Ultimate in-form and I'll be in a better position to judge.

In sub class I can every 12-16 sec spam a berrier ,put a arto
and save next pp berrier again,it mean 45sec(pp colddown) i can use 3 time 170~250U ult
It can work in any pug
but old patch i can do same thing in my nb,but nb cant use colo or arto ult,he only can 100% time berrier save group in trial trifecta and pp share his ult point burn boss

I think it's safe to say that for a lot of people the primary issue isn't the reduction in ultimate generation in itself, it's that the developers have chosen perhaps the most bland solution possible. Still not the worst solution, cause I'm sure they could come up with something else if prodded. Just bland, boring. It's like they've chosen this avenue to punish the players for implementing subclassing in the game.

The big impression I'm getting from this first round of PTS notes (and all of u46) is that they were just as surprised as we were in April to find out about subclassing, and it wasn't at all like the BIG update of the year that they had been planning for a long time.

These minor heroism instead of unique ultigen on class passives are not it. If i cant get 100% uptime im going to source it elsewhere. Which then makes the passive do literally nothing. This change needs to go back to the drawing board.

For example necrotic potency, generally the corpses get consumed near the end of an add pull. Then youre out of combat and it does nothing while not in combat. Groups will have to have tanks leap frog eachother in add pulls to ensure they remain in combat to keep class sourced heroism going. which is harder for tanks and theres already not enough tanks in the game.

At a minimum if this poorly thought through change goes live, pillagers needs to be unnerfed, and pearls of ehlnofey needs to go back to granting unique ultimate.

If you want less ultimates look at lightly nerfing values of unique ultigen that can stack with major and minor heroism.

As always it's something 99.9 percent would never notice, whilst there are extreme edge cases in PvP and PvE. It's still not an excuse that perfectly normal synergetic passives that are already considered class defining getting neutralised because there's simply too much set clutter released each year and hastily slapped together features like subclassing that expects players to not play the class system we had for the last decade but to pick whatever synergies best with what you're doing instead, literally breaking the game as it was created and balanced initially in favour of "the many of nothing's" we'll get with it's balancing further on.

If you build around it, especially now with subclassing, it's most likely too high and the reason for the nerf. At the cost of pure classes and casuals.

They could easily balance it, if they apply the minor/major heroism to passives for players, who subclassed.
Those who play with pure classes can still benefit from the current ulti gen passives.
But it's sadly too much work for them, so they nerf just everything, as usual.
