Did it on a max lvl template with 1 mil Archival Fortunes and it does get rather expensive for each reroll:

    1. 500 (resets to this each Cycle)
    2. 4000
    3. 13500
    4. 32000
    5. 62500
    6. 108000
    7. 171500
    8. 256000
    9. 364500

And every other reroll can offer the Visions that have already been offered before, as I had Unrestrained Endurance for my 7th and 9th attempt.

Having the rerolls cost 200 Fortunes for the first time, then increasing by 100 for each attempt is in my opinion a better solution.

    Or change like that :
    1. 250
    2. 500
    3. 1000
    4. 2000
    5. 4000
    6. 8000
    7. 16000
    8. 32000
    9. 64000
    10. 128000
    11.Etc
    Double it each time.

Agreed with the above comment. It feels too expensive to need to sacrifice two bosses worth of AF for a -chance- at the stuff you want.

Lower the price heavily. Or some other alternatives:
    • No longer costs Fortunes to re-roll. Instead it's a permanent upgrade you can purchase with them. You start with X number of re-rolls, and gain an additional one every X amount of bosses defeated. Or per arc, etc.
    • Keep the "costs AF" to re-roll (at a reduced cost though) but add a permanent, purchasable upgrade that lets you choose 1 Vision to start with upon initiating a run. This gives some leniency with RNG, and makes those first Arcs where getting the right Visions is invaluable a bit more forgiving. Then later on people can still use the cost-per-reroll RNG to supplement, without being entirely reliant on them.

These prices are ridiculous. The 500 fortune reroll is only one even remotely close to worthwhile. But still might be cheaper and easier to just restart if early in a run and get a bad vision selection. But beyond that? 4000 fortunes is like a couple hours of play for me. Why would I ever throw away that much time and effort?

The deeper you get into archive, the less impact any one Vision is going to have, which makes rerolls less valuable. The earlier you are in archive, the more valuable a good vision can be, but if you are early, might as well just restart.

These prices would be a little high if you were literally buying visions. But you are not buying visions. You are buying RNG. That is a steep price for more RNG.

If the goal was to implement a new feature in a way that guarantees the feature will rarely be used, I guess this is well done.

These prices to reroll are way too expensive. I like Maitsukas' idea of starting at 200 and then increasing by 100 for each subsequent reroll. I was interested in this feature until I saw those costs.

Agreeing with everyone else. My best friend and I do IA just about every other day. This is way too expensive for either of us to pay more than once a run, and even then, I don't see myself choosing to spend 500 fortunes for a single reroll before second or third Tho'at. Restarting a run is cheaper.

The main reason we won't be using this much, besides the unrealistic prices, is the fact that it is a 100% random reroll and in principle, you could get the exact same 3 visions again and again. For this to bew something that would be used, please consider discarding the visons from subsequent rolls, so that you will not get the same visions in the next rolls. There is a reason we wanted to reroll:)

As of the final U47 PTS update, the reroll prices haven't been adjusted at all and remain the same as in my original comment in this thread. Really feel bummed out because of it, as it seriously drains the amount of Fortunes if used repeatedly in its current state.

I'm genuinely confused as to why these numbers were chosen. Does ZOS not want us to reroll our Visions?

Okay, spill. Which one of you secretly hid positive feedback in your posts about how the reroll system is too expensive?

Look, I don't think devs need to act on or even acknowledge 99% of feedback they receive from testers. But why would the studio director say something like this that is really easily proven untrue? Unless one of you made the world's most devilish coded message, there isn't a single post here endorsing this system. Players have universally said it's too expensive for what it is.

It makes any other comments in the interview about the importance of feedback to the development process sound similarly hollow.
