If someone decided to pick up ESO now and strictly only does story quests, how many hours would they have before them with that alone? They usually announced the chapters as having 30 hours of story content, the dlcs 15 hours, which would be 360 hours only for chapters and dlcs, plus how many for the base game zones? Probably at least as much? That would keep someone who plays 2 hours a day busy for over a year. So that new player would not be bored that fast.

And if that person gets into housing (which is also a big aspect for many in the TES singleplayer games), they would probably get into different kinds of other activities to get furniture items, plans and leads. Which means plenty of hours more of content to do.

That as a reply to whoever it was who wrote that ESO had nothing to do for the "typical Skyrim player". I think this game caters very much to people with that playstyle (without a judgement whether this is good or not or whether it should be like this or not - just an observation from the content releases; I don't care how others play this game, really, everyone can choose for themselves, it's none of my business).

Especially housing is a huge thing. It must be a success, otherwise they would not put furniture, furniture plans, furnishing leads, currency to buy furniture, etc., up as rewards for basically every kind of activity, from fishing and events to group dungeons and Archive. And what are the most expensive items in the crown store? The big houses. If they wouldn't sell, I don't think they'd make them. And furnishing your digital house is more or less a single player activity, no? It's not like you shove around your tables, beds and clutter in groups (which doesn't mean that PvP or trial players can't also be interested in housing; people aren't limited to one activity).

Mostly I raid, for example I played for about 4.5 hours total yesterday and that was split between a pug vss HM and a pug 0 portal cloudrest.

If I'm online and not raiding, I'm usually doing stuff to prep for raid like making gear/setups, selling things, or maybe doing writs/surveys (one of the ways I farm things to sell). A lot of my gold comes from carries these days though so I don't farm much anymore.
