Also I would change the magicka morph to become a polar bear doing frost damage instead of having the useless auto rez thing, having then both bear doing the same thing except the type of damage they will deal.
In fact the execute should start at 100% of the target HP (working like Sheer Venom for exemple) and also working on the simple attack the bear does and not only the ultimate cast.
Then we would have something that worth more to be double slotted and managed to survive and focus the right target.

Yeah, now that pure Wardens have received a significant nerf it would be great if the Animal Companions skill line would receive some improvements (especially if the new Piercing Cold passive isn't altered during this PTS cycle). Improving the execute scaling of the bear would be a nice start. Also I would change the magicka morph to become a polar bear doing frost damage instead of having the useless auto rez thing, having then both bear doing the same thing except the type of damage they will deal.
Yeah, that would have been so much better. Sadly, it seems like we're getting a polar bear skill style now (which makes me doubt that the Eternal Guardian itself will be altered in such a way).

I want a polar bear friendo. When was that released

That's a shame but if they want warden to do frost damage only with winter embrace then I got another idea for a better magicka bear morph.
Making it doing way less damage but resisting way more and allowing it to taunt with the ultimate (that would cost way less and losing the execute of course) giving an option for solo player who want something to distract ennemies without requiring to unlock companions or to gear up one as tank (or to be able to get a trio by themself with bear tank and companion healer).
So we would have the option to get an Aggressive Guardian or a Protective Guardian.

Oh god no. The last thing this game needs is another thing that will allow 'solo' DPS people to steal taunt from actual tanks.
We had that problem with ice staff heavies, and then that got fixed in time for them to give it to Companions. Frost Staff companions (which people are told to run because they don't roll dodge) can still steal taunt since the equivalent to Frost Clench doesn't have the "doesn't use it on a target already taunted" that the SnB or Undaunted or Azandar's taunts have. And as much as I love the ability to truly taunt with a werewolf, it's set up so that a DPS running that morph can also steal taunt inadvertently by holding their light attack 0.001 secs too long.
If they had to do this, it has to have a "doesn't taunt if a monster is already taunted" caveat on it.

Feral Guardian is a very big part of the line's toolkit, but is still somewhat underwhelming compared to other strong class ults. Given that it requires being double barred, I feel that that absolutely shouldn't be the case. One way to help alleviate that would be to raise the execute scaling threshold from its current value of 25% to 33% which seems to be what ZOS is trying to push now as the entrance to execute. It's a small change, but would help add some value to our reliable little bear friend.

You say it would be aimed at solo play and that's an argument I suppose, but how would this morph change when the solo player joins a group eg for a daily random? It'll be like HA with ice staff all over again.

i'm not sure exactly how bear is underwhelming compared to other ults. it does at least like 12% of your overall damage and has a ton of hemo proc tied to it. I'd argue it performs insanely well, and honestly probably too well. i'd rather see changes to add in a hemorrhaging bonus to savage beast.
