I get the desire for houses sized like for example Ravenhurst, but why not just make a notable house sized down like that so it has the full furnishing cap?
And on that note, why not let us purchase furnishing cap upgrades for all homes up to the notable cap?
Personally I don't have a problem furnishing notable homes. Worst case scenario I'll just seal off sections and focus on smaller areas, but usually it just requires using large and "loud" items to create the illusion of filling up certain spaces. Not to mention exercising some self restraint when it comes to microcluttering all surfaces with single details.
Most requests for new houses have been for the addition of more Classic and smaller homes. There's really no winning for them at this point. Someone will always complain about it.

Oh please. This house is not comparable to what players are actually asking for. Releasing a big house with "Classic" style slots is not what people want. More homes like Seabloom Villa are rather what has been asked for.

Plus, the last event fragment house was Notable (albeit more of an empty plot):
Edit: Typo

Personally I think the entire idea of limited furniture slots is outdated. Let's say the absolute maximum amount of furniture is 700 like all the manor type homes have... why not have that same limit for all the smaller homes?
There is no good reason why smaller homes have smaller furniture limits.
