I do hope there is a change to moderation, because I've been hit with some unfair warnings too.

It doesn't look good, though, because the OP has been hit with the signature permafrost despite their posts always being respectful. It makes me concerned for the performance issues as well since they were the most dedicated on keeping that thread relevant.

It's been a long while since I stopped posting on the forums. Years ago I used to post regularly but suddenly moderation changed and I started to get some really weird warnings. I don't really feel like posting/commenting here anymore, and I only do so what I feel is utmost important and nothing more (This comment here being a big exception I hope not to regret later).

From what I could see, though, is that people (myself included when I'm online) now feel an urge to explain themselves and beg not to be punished. Just take a look at that Nefas Post where you can see some examples.

At this moment, players are afraid to post and comment. This has to mean something regarding excessive moderation. Yes, the forums needs to be a safe place where people can enjoy healthy discussions; we all agree on that, but it doesn't need to this intense, to the point people don't want to talk anymore.

4 people who posted in this thread have been permabanned (last time I checked). Considering permabans are usually considered an extreme measure for people who deliberately and repeatedly disturb a community, this is remarkable.

We don't know if the ban is permanent or not or why it happened. Moderation actions shouldn't be shared to the public though.

We don't know if the ban is permanent or not. Moderation actions shouldn't be shared to the public though. Also we don't know why they got banned.

All I did was counting the profiles of people who have "banned" next to their name in this thread, visible for everyone. Since their status hasn't changed for over 3 days, it looks permanent.

And since I can remember some of the names and always had the impression that they were making interesting and helpful posts, I find this concerning. I don't want to dispute the reason for the ban, because I indeed don't know about that, but I just want to voice that I never got the impression that these were trolls or otherwise ill-intentioned people, so this is disheartening.

I hope it is fine to mention this here, as this very thread is about moderation and especially bans. I've been in many forums before and 4 people of one thread getting permabanned just seems a lot, especially compared to what I'm used to. It's not surprising many people are afraid to post here now if they see that, and as someone who wants this game and community to flourish, I think I can voice my concern about this.

Did anyone expect any different? Remarkable isn't the best word for this situation, but it is a word that works.

I do agree most of the people who are left have no problem creating posts.
