So, we're still getting a new trial right?

Trying to break into the endgame has broken me so...

What server do you play on?

    PC NA.

I would suggest making your way to the bigger raiding discords, if you haven't already. Aedra (their discord invite is just the server name) and then For the Clear, and any of their partner discords. Start off by just signing up for farm runs and trainers. Look at logs for runs you do, if you bottom parse or don't heal as well as the other healer or die more than the other tank (idk which role you main), ask why and for advice. People are always willing to help but you need to start the conversation.

Breaking into endgame is a very active process.

Was in Aedra for a while. Most of their runs were either super sweaty stuff or filled instantly. I did join ftc but I'm booked up for a few days.

FTC is the best starting place right now I'd say, especially since they have a few leads now doing HM trainers. Use those to get some experience and maybe boss 1 HM clears then transition to running with Aedra. I believe their HM trainers will be starting up again in a week or two (the lead for the weekly one has been in vacation).

It would not be better for ZOS to add a story mode instead of a new trial, because people who do trials as their main content are not the target audience for a story mode.
Then add new trial AND story mode, so everyone will be happy. Nerds will get their trifecta love xd, everyone else will get what they want.

This is a pretty basic expectation, so if they plan on deviating from that they should spell it out so we can make other plans.

I too made the mistake of joining Aedra thinking they'd offer runs that would help me get into endgame. Meanwhile my Pithka (which I didn't know of before joining) looks like this:

And I got that VCR+0 with a pug three days ago.

If anyone has any suggestions for guilds that offer vet training runs for people looking to go from normal -> vet, not just vet -> hm or hm -> tri, please share. At least one other guildie in my social guild is stuck in the same place as me.

Also, re: the topic of this thread, I would be very disappointed if there wasn't a new trial this year. A mini or something else unconventional would be fine but I think not including some kind of 12-man content would be a mistake.

I have full vet clears and a couple of the easier hms, vcr+1 etc, but I just need reps before trying sweaty stuff. I also need a boatload(read all) dlc vet dungeons :/ blech.

For the Clear (can get the discord link in Aedra's partner list) does beginner/training/farm runs. That's where I'd start, then move on to Aedra once you have your vet clears.

Idk how it's done in NA, but in PC/EU large trial discords are more like pugs for endgamers than training places. Going there when you just want to start is a bit disappointing.

Best training experience I've found is a social guild that forms a core group with clearing vets/HMs in mind. Entry level progs in less sweaty guilds is what I would suggest looking for.

It would be better if they added a story mode (solo) for trials next year.

I think the amount of entertainment that would await in solo-mode trials is generally very overestimated by the people asking for that. If your character isn't strong enough to do it alone, you should not expect to do it alone. It is a simple concept that actually lends importance to events and contextualizes the players power. Not being able to do something can actually be something that enhances immersion.

Larger group content is an important factor for community building and raids in general have been a "make or break" factor for many patches in various MMOs. The fact that the ESO group play meta is lame is technically a player made issue.

I *have* my clears. I just need practice before trying to go do hms and stuff but hm trainers don't exist in any of my guilds. Lol
