Unlock companion summoning for entire account

Please let us unlock the ability to summon a companion with ALL OUR CHARACTERS if we have that companion's achievements unlocked.

I am NOT having fun unlocking all these companions on 20 characters.
Doing the same questchain 20 times is a horrible gaming experience. Two new companions coming out is 40 questchains over and over again.

    I wish this too, a simple dialogue option to skip the intro quest that says something like “a friend told me about you”, based on what someone said around here on the forums about our first character telling the companion about the others.

    This has been asked for ever since they introduced them. It didn't happen then and I don't see it happening now. Or ever. Grind=people playing the game which is good for stock holders. And that is their prime concern to do or not do anything. As it is with any online service.

    I unlocked 2 companions...one healer and one tank for all my characters.
    I have no need to unlock them all for each character.

    something i been complaining about almost every update since our 2nd round of companions (isobel and ember)

    i dont have 20 characters (only 11) but i dont even want to redo the quests on more than 2 characters anymore

    i run them on my main, and i run them on a dps that can powerlevel them, after that they collect dust for the most part if we dont get access to them on all characters

    for example i really enjoy zerith-var, but im not rerunning his questline again just to use him on my other 9 characters, so hes going to effectively collect dust for me outside of being deployed with my main right now

    There's no reason that the initial quests can't still be available.

    It's only really Tanlorin and Zerith that would require a slightly different set up for the initial quest (Much like how say, accepting Sharp's quest from the collection interface skips the part where you talk to him outside of Necrom and you just talk to Harn)

    Which would amount to simply skipping to the point where you meet Tanlorin at Monkey's Rest and enter the Dark Moon Temple with Zerith (Bypassing the breaking out of Tanlorin from the ice and talking to Krin'ze and visiting Zerith's tomb)

    What with their other companion quests being fine to have sitting in your questlog forever (Irregardless of how urgent they may be). It's not like their initial quests would be any different.

    Because you might actually get them to max level then?

    It only takes a few hours to powerlevel them on a single character. Their XP and skills are account-wide, so you don't need to level them on each character you plan to use them with.

    Example:
    Azandar is designated as my healer and accompanies anyone who is stealing.

    If I'm doing a day of pickpocketing/stealing on all my characters, I like to summon Azandar.

    Tanlorin is my melee AoE DPS so if I'm doing any overworld content, I bring them out.

    If I'm doing West Weald wb dailies, I have a companion with a build set up for that.

    Again, I play all my characters. So I want my companions available on all my characters.

    The current system is not friendly for players with a lot of characters who really enjoy and love companions.

    It's almost as if ESO wants us to not spend money on buying new character slots :/ I love making new characters, and I have them all at max level. But the companion situation is making me not want to make any new characters whenever a new class comes out.

    for mirris quest, if they add an auto completion, it can either assume you saved or killed them all, i honestly wouldnt care at this point

    by the 4th time i was doing mirris quest, i just starting killing all of them just to make the quest a few minutes faster because i didnt have to go around and hunt levers down too

    the way that i do companions right now is i have 3 i unlock when i make a new toon and thats it (bastion - healer, ember -dps, and isobel - tank), all of the other companions are just going to gather dust even though its nice to have other tanks or healers as options

    for example i dont really care for bastion that much, his ulti is almost useless on a healer, and while he does a good job, im not going through 9 more characters to unlock one of the other characters ive tried to build as a healer

    I don't mind having to unlock them on each character. However, I do feel that once one character has acquired their Token, then the Rapport Quests shouldn't pop anymore. The point of Rapport is to increase their XP gains. Well if they're max level, there are no XP gains anymore.

    I'd really like to not have to choose between companions always having a "I have a Quest for you!" pointer on the top of their head, or having a quest in my tracker that can't be dismissed.

    By that logic, scribing should be character specific and only unlocked fully once all of rhe quests are complete...

    Same goes for delve boss spawns... and you shouldn't be able to skip the tutorial. Because if you skip it then the tutorial never happened and the prophet not rescued...

    The logic falls apart once you consider that ZOS already has ways of shortcutting quests on alt characters. We are just asking them to do it for Alts.

    A skip or play option for recruitment should be just fine per the games own mechanics and history.

    I would add that you can max out skill lines via the crown store without engaging in any of the related quests more than once.

    Speed up leveling Mages Guild/Fighters Guild/Undaunted. Also it’s a pain to be on an alt and realize ‘hey, Companion X has skillset Y that would be really helpful right now. Oops, I never unlocked them on this character!’ So it’s tedium weighted against future need.

    And even without going through ALL the Companions, going through ‘only’ three of them (one each for tank, healer and DPS roles) on 20 characters is still going to be tedious.

    It enables options, it's easier to swap companions than it is to change their builds. So it's best to set them up that way.

    For those that want to unlock companions over and over again to save Mirri's family, you'd still have the option to do the quests.

    For the rest of us who want to unlock a companion for our account, we could opt into it.

    Everyone is happy and playing how they prefer.

    As for people complaining about immersion breaking:
    Mounts are already account-wide. If a character unlocks a mount, suddenly everyone else in our account has it. Yet those other characters never did anything to get that mount.
    Same thing with buying bank space and pets.

    I've unlocked the companions on all 20 of my toons main account. It takes about a half hour per companion of the 2 new crown store companions to unlock them if you speed thru it.
    With that being said, I personally think that the crown store companions should have been account wide, and there shouldn't have been a story quest to unlock them. If the companions are going to be behind a pay wall like that, they should be unlocked with full leveling/perks account wide, otherwise they should have been part of the West Weald Chapter release where you find them somewhere in West Weald and do their quests to unlock them, then level them up like normal.

    I have a lot of other activities I like to do in game rather than repeat the same quests over and over again. Often I want to get out a companion on my dungeons and trials toon to level them up and then I remember I only got around to doing that on my main character.

    I've collected the token for all 8 companions. Every one of my characters that use companions (except my main which collected them), has the rapport quests popping in various stages for each of the 3 companions I assign to each of them. And those have all come from normal regular game play after my main collected their tokens.

    Positive rapport comes in significantly faster than the negative rapport ever hopes to achieve. Positive rapport for each companion comes in from substantially more sources than negative. Negative rapport is negligible at best unless a player specifically goes out of their way to grind out some negative rapport, and even then you can find yoursel incapable. ie.. Zerith Varr, his big no-no is infecting another player with Vampirism, which you can only do once a week.

    I'm not saying the quests should be removed altogether. Just that the nag mechanic be removed after their tokens are collected. Because at that point the quests are pretty much worthless, except perhaps as a roleplay mechanic if one is so inclined. But then too, I also believe that since the introduction of One Tamriel, the Main Story Questline should be abandonable (is that a word?), and not pushed on you whenever you enter a base game zone on a character that chose not to start it.

    No, the Crown Store Companions absolutely should have recruitment quests. Zerith-var's questline is considered one of the best Companion storylines by many players, and it would just make no sense to have him following you around before you start the quest where you and Krin'ze discover him.

    Please give us Werewolf Skill Styles (for customizing our fur color), Grimoires/Scribing skills (to fill in the holes in our builds), and Companions (to transform with).

    Why on earth do you need to have all companions on all characters???

    Why wouldn't we? All of our characters could use their help when questing or running dungeons or whatever.

    What if our bank allies, or merchants etc. had to be purchased by each of our characters individually for them to use them? This is what having to unlock the Companions individually feels like.
