[Housing] 🍄 Druidic Groves: An ESO Housing Contest 🍄 WINNERS ANNOUNCED! 🏆

🍄 Hi folks, I'm delighted to announce the ‘Druidic Groves’ housing contest! 🍄

We’re looking for all sorts of druidic builds; Think stone circles, overgrown ruins, forest glades, cave dwellings, treetop villages and hidden nomadic abodes! Whether you’re building for a circle of druidic forest guardians, a coven of dark druidic witches, or even a fiery clan of Firesong druids, the build has to focus on druidic elements. 🌿

You can use homes of any size, and previously built homes are accepted provided they have not won any contests previously. Homes that are entered into other housing contests running at the same time are also accepted. (The only limitation we ask is that builds are not overly gory, or too adult in nature.)

The homes/builds will be judged based on the following criteria;

Theme
Creativity
Aesthetics
Technical Skill

📅 JUDGING PERIOD: Tuesday 21st January - Tuesday 14th February (updated)

Entries will be judged by Nordenheim and special guest judges Swankery, LuluZealander & Tirinei!

📌 This contest is open to players on PC NA and PC EU only, as we are only able to provide prizes for PC. That said, if anyone would like to share any builds on console, you can film a short video of this (5 minutes maximum) and I can show this on stream, though there will be no prizes for console players.

📌 EHT may be used for this contest, but we advise using it minimally; the build should stand on its own two feet, for visitors that do not have EHT installed. Trigger animations will not be allowed for this contest.

🏆 For this contest we will have some incredible prizes, huge thank you to Bethesda UK for providing all the Crown prizes for the contest!; 🏆

Oh the competition is scary with that theme, so many plants virtuoso, don't think i'll try my luck for a first try ^^

On the other hand, if I may, it's about sharing a build with the community and not just about winning!

In any case what I love with this theme is that you can go full on all the awesome Home Goods from the Conservatory category and they cost pennies with in-game gold and that's super cool. ^^

100% what Lilarna said here, it's about sharing creativity, ideas and celebrating housing builds! The more druidic builds I get to tour, the happier I am! 💛

After fracturing my elbow 9 days ago, I also threw out my back yesterday, so we will be extending the entry deadline for this housing contest to Monday 20th January!

Hey folks, due to the overlap with the Pan Tamriel event, we have pushed the judging deadline back to the 14th of February!

This is to give the judges time to tour all builds fully, so that no tours are rushed!

This contest is so exhausting, all the postponing, tours where 80% of the time you dont talk about the house, and calling a stream a housing one when first 3 hours of the stream isnt housing.. sorry this was just painful..

I agree 200% with @Mloking . I have joined this contest purely for a chance to showcase my House that I have already built so I don't care about any rewards but at this point this whole thing looks like a kind of fraud. You talk 85% time about yourself, then you spend 5 seconds in each room of the house and even skip some of them. Also all the postponings, now no single update about final verdict, no response to people asking for entries list so we could tour these houses for our own and have some fun. This is very discouraging to enter any future contest.

Hi folks,

I apologise for the delays, pretty severe health difficulties have made it difficult to do much of anything at the PC. I fully understand the frustration this has caused.

I've been revisiting all of the homes a second time off stream to ensure that every nook and cranny was fully explored, and that I stood by my scores, and have now tallied all of the scores ready to announce winners this Wednesday at 10AM GMT.

I don't fully agree with the comment about only spending '5 seconds' in each room, as I take pride in how much time I spent looking at all of the details in a build, and would argue that I spend far longer touring homes for contests than most streamers would (this is part of why the judging period has been much longer than planned).

I am genuinely sorry for any feeling of discouragement or frustration that have resulted from the contest, all I've ever wanted to do is showcase the incredible creativity, imagination and skill of ESO housingmancers, and I will take this on board before even considering whether I will do any contests again in future.

I want to say thank you very much for organising this contest @Nordenheim1 !

I know the amount of work it means, from putting the announcements together and publishing them around, speaking back and forth with participants when entries need editing, answering various questions, creating judging sheets, visiting the houses several times to make sure we're giving a fair eye and time to every single entry, and more... There's just so much time (hours and hours and hours) and so much energy needed to make a contest run smoothly! So, thank you for giving us the opportunity of sharing our creations through the contest.

And thank you so much to @Totes1 for her formidable video of all the entries! What a beautiful tribute to all the participants!

Just like a lot of housers, I was very curious to get the list of entries so that I could have the joy of visiting them personally, now with the list I can get to admire these entries myself.

And thank you for your streams as well @Nordenheim1 ! Your channel has wonderful vibes and you offer a safe and chill space for people to come have fun with you. You have spent many many hours visiting our builds and it was great fun to watch for me so thank you for the ride!:)

I personally believe that every streamer creates their own little universe, their little corner of the internet, in which they are free to do as they please, and nobody forces anyone to attend a stream if it's not their cup of tea.

@Nordenheim1 For what it’s worth I thought your tours were thorough, especially given just how many entries there were! I’m new to your streams and I enjoyed them. I hope you’re not discouraged from doing contests in the future! Few of the contests I’ve participated in have run on time, small delays seem to be common and I’ve come to expect them as part of the process even if I get impatient in my excitement! Communication about the delays is what’s most important to me personally.

Anyway, thank you for hosting this contest and for everyone who put so much work into it! I’m excited to get cozy tonight and watch Totes’ video. I’m so grateful!
