Of my companion at all - can I please have them wear a hat / hair / helmet

Seems like that without a helmet - one magic missile to the head - and they won’t care either.

    While we are at it...

    Can companions carry companion gear?

Because I have to carry my own gear and I am not sure why they can't do the same.

I agree companions should be sworn to carry our burdens. And I also agree they should be allowed to wear headgear. The argument according to which covering their heads would remove or limit their identities makes no sense. Each companion's body language is different, meaning we can still identify them even if their faces aren't visible. Player characters can cover their heads and I've never heard anyone complain that removes our toons' identities. Besides, think of all those crippling neurological conditions we might prevent by letting them wear protective headgear!

if anything not having a helmet makes the identity even less unique... just the same face everywhere and so not immersed during the quest where all i can see is the same everywhere...no identity exists for them like this

But Mirri says she comes from a large family. Hence I expect to see her twin sisters everywhere.

Yet it's Bastian that I see everywhere. Think I've seen a dozen or so npcs in the game that look just like him. Even at least one from before Blackwoods was released.

Companions shouldn't carry items (aside from the equipment they're using) because they'd function essentially as a bank. What people really want is more bank/inventory space.

I agree that Companions should be allowed to wear helmets (but no changing skins/polymorphs/markings/hairstyles/etc) but they should take their helmets off when talking to the player or during scripted sequences in their questline.
