The 10-Year Anniversary Nord Hero costume looks amazing!

I'm really happy about getting this costume from this first Golden Pursuit! I think it looks great on my character.

Originally, I had planned on getting the original Nord Hero Armor costume, but I never did because I didn't think I'd use costumes on my character often. I'm glad I got to try this costume out on my character, and I'm definitely planning on giving it to a Nord Companion or the like so I can see it more often!

It's a nice costume but I dislike very much how it does not look correct on many characters, it makes their body be too large and oversized, not true to the character model. It makes the legs too over big and the chest area humongeous like the mesh morphs is not correct. I hope it gets fix.

Well.... it makes all my girls look.... bulky. Lumpy? To me, it looks more like specific to nord males....

Agreeing with the sentiment that it's nicely detailed, but something seems off about it. It's as though it's missing the various mesh morphs that would have altered it's size to fit the body shape of the character. Or...is this intentional, to try to make the character look as though they're the same size as the 'nord hero'?

Either way, if it's an error, I hope it gets fixed.

Why are the eyes shadowed out?
Is that a bug or design choice?

Everything else about the new costume is great, I just can’t imagine someone looked at that and thought that looked good on a half open helmet…

Especially considering that the lower half of the helmet has no shadows, why would the eyes not be lit up like the face?

Did the Nord Hero find sunglasses? 😎

Costume is great, but the original ones should be updated to the look of the new one. I for example bought original nord hero armor to roleplay this character but now we got objectively better version for free but with off colors. They should at least release the updated version with normal colors and red cape for free to those that have original one. I know i can dye the new one, but i dont know if all the details will have appropriate colors, seeing as we have only 3 layers and zenimax choosing which parts are colored in which layer is utter crap.

Also yes, The eyes should not be shadowed. It just shows lazines from devs. Original Nord Hero Armor has proper visible eyes.

It looks about five sizes too big on every char I've tried it on! Nice to see that others are liking it though and glad to see the arrival of golden pursuits.

The thing about this costume, is that it looks like when elderly people pull their pants almost up to their arm pits.

Apart from that it has a nice look

I'm sure they might, but if you are subscribed to the ESO newsletter, you'll find that they sent out an email titled "Earn Free Skyrim-themed Rewards with Golden Pursuits!", implying that the motivation behind remixing the Nord Hero Armor costume (and introducing the Adventure-Ending Arrow adornment) is to appeal to fans of TES V: Skyrim.

Again, we might get remixes of the other alliance hero costumes, but this Golden Pursuit campaign is more so Skyrim fanservice than it is ESO fanservice.

Yeah, maybe. The costume’s name implies it’s meant to celebrate the tenth anniversary. Clearly, we’ll get the costumes from the other factions soon enough.

Now, if they used a Nordic costume to draw attention to Skyrim, well, good for them, I guess? Skyrim is still one of the greatest RPGs of all time, so using Skyrim to self-promote makes a lot of sense lol.

But I have to admit: it feels odd. It would’ve made more sense for the first Golden Pursuit to be Breton since the next event is literally... Legacy of the Bretons? LOL

It was a good idea to start with the Nord Hero Armor remix, because the other two aren't recognizable to people who have played Skyrim but haven't played ESO or seen anything about it. At least the Nord costume and the arrow in the knee are recognizable elements from TES V: Skyrim.


Who knows when or if we'll get a remix of the other alliance heroes? If we do, they'll likely be given away in Golden Pursuits that appear before the 10th year anniversary celebration is officially over.

Lol, Zenimax should have realized that ship sailed LONG ago. Everyone who played ESO at launch thinking it was going to be "Skyrim multiplayer/online" has long left and has zero interest in playing this game, no costume or adornment will change that. I sincerely hope that wasn't the intention and they just simply thought current players who liked Skyrim would find the adornment specifically entertaining (because that costume has little Skyrim vibes to it, the older version was more Skyrim than this take on it).

It's a great costume! Especially since this time the version for males and females are the same. I've been hoping for something that looked a bit more bulky for my female nord, something like Lyris Titanborn's armor in the Greymoor trailer, and this costume is perfect for that.

Glad someone likes it. It will stay in my collections with all of the other useless stuff. I will NEVER put this on. But at least someone appreciates it.
