Need expanded bank slots now that we have scripts to save

We should probably have 48 or 50 more bank slots now that many players are saving their scripts to the bank.

...why are you saving all of those?

Go to your alts and eat them (you don't even have to have unlocked Scribing to eat them on alts!) or sell them and make bank. The only reason to leave them in your bank for longer than 10 minutes is if you're expecting ZOS to give you more character slots in June and you're saving some for that character because you can't be bothered to farm them then.

Maybe they should just make a stickerbook type system for scripts if it's important to people... saving them all seems like a bit much.

i sell scripts that my main character gets and learn scripts on other characters if they earned them.

999 gold per script is very nice

I find myself storing a bunch of Scripts in my bank as well, because I haven't bothered logging into my alts to consume them yet. I don't think we need more bank space for these specifically (and whether ZOS could or should give us more bank slots is another topic of discussion) but I do feel the frustration of lacking storage space.

It's a convoluted idea, but maybe we could "bundle" a bunch of Scripts together (like a sticker book) and on alternate characters we could draw from that single item to learn any unlearned Scripts from that book.

For instance, if you had 1x Flame Damage and 2x Frost Damage, those would combine into a single item. A character who doesn't know any Scripts could use that item to learn the Flame Damage and Frost Damage Scripts without having to learn them individually. The item would be left with just 1x Frost Damage.

This would save time and inventory space when teaching new characters Scripts.

I mean... Alternatively, just make scripts account wide...

Them being character specific serves little purpose, other than making it significantly more annoying to track the achievements related to acquiring them (Especially when trying to remember which of the Mage's Guilds a particular character has visited to obtain the scripts related to the Gifts of the Archmage achievement)

Heck, even the guaranteed script drops from dailies are account based already...

    This! Scripts should be accountwide.
Scripts are annoying to track, annoying to transfer, and annoying to gain due to the accountwide daily drop restriction on a character-wide item. This entire thing wasn't thought through AT ALL! Despite scribing being actually good, the way scripts work makes it feel bad now.

Even though I do feel we need much much more bank and inventory space, none of mine is used for scripts.

I wouldn't want them to be account wide as I already feel we're crazy powerful out the gate in this game and there's no sense of progression or character development in ESO. Scripts make us slow down a bit.

Also don't see the other issue of having them in the bank. Use the or sell them. It's not like it's a grind getting scripts on a new character.

Slot increate has low change, but scribe balance would be good. Instead these scripts change it to unknown focus / signature / affix. Stackable. Then only 3 bank space. Until character has not learned script then that unknown scripts usable.

I only have 7 characters, one for each class. If I make a new character some day, I'll use the scripts I've saved.

Yes I plan on selling any scripts beyond what I would need for future characters. I'm just in no rush.

I get quite a few scripts through activities I do anyway. And I would do quite a few of the daily quests (either the guild ones, or whatever zone is new or event is ongoing at the moment) with new characters as well while levelling them. Then there's three script vendors with rotating inventory. And you don't need all the scripts immediately or even short-term for new characters.
I'm really not bothered by having to get scripts I need again.

Me, yes. It takes 5 or 6 days to fully farm scripts from guaranteed daily drops alone, I likely won't have many other things done by that time. If you have some scripts that you consider more important, you can keep only those for quick start.

Look, I get it. I also have one character per class, and I'm dying to make some new ones once we get classes. I'm mainly hoping for 2 more classes to eventually drop based on a few ideas I have.

Still, Classes (if they're coming) drop with Chapters in June and are announced in the January reveal, so we've got a good 6 months of lead time to get everything we need for them once we know they're coming. At this point, you're saving all of this on the off-chance that something will happen. And even then, it's not like you will need 100% of Scripts on a new character, considering not all of them will be useful.

Remember that they're curated by character. If you really want to target something, only save a handful of important Scripts, then sell the rest and when the character finally exists, then use them to do dailies to get the other ones you're not gonna use anyway.

This "There are so many Scripts taking up my bank space!" is 100% a player-generated problem.

I currently have 7 characters and I farmed them all on each of them, but I honestly don't know why other than I like completing things, because I have yet to scribe a single thing. I still have so many zones to complete on 3 of these characters that I don't see myself making another for a very long time, if ever.

Ah ok. Me too I have 7 characters. I ended up moving some stuff out of the bank onto one of the characters I don't play as often. So problem solved for now I guess.

Sorry for not having been more clear.

Rather than more back space I agree with some others that these should be account wide, or at the very least give us a stickerbook for scripts. It takes so long to get them all I can see why someone would want to keep a set ready for a new character.

I just want to point out that the argument of "not everyone will use x so don't add it to the game" is uh...weird to say the least. We'd never get new things in the game with that logic. Even if people wouldn't use bank space for Scripts, they'd use it for everything else.

We need more bank/character slots either way, as ZOS has introduced hundreds of new items since the game released and yet not expanded inventory space save for a couple of pets that give you a dinky five extra slots to a character's inventory.

It's not weird when we consider all the things that have been changed to improve performance, such as the mail and guild trader listings. There have been countless threads about why we need more storage but that is not likely to happen.

Making these account wide or having a stickerbook for scripts are probably more feasible.

Make an 8th character as a bank, and just keep them in their inventory. Done. They are out of your way on a disposable character.

That's the old school way of saving things we did before we had craft bags.
