They want to force us to do IA and pvp
I got the tel-var relatively quickly just by wandering around the Imperial City killing random NPCs. I'm not sure how long exactly but it was under 2 hours.
I also got someone else's weekly done very quickly because after I'd been in there a while and hadn't seen a single other player I decided it would be safe to withdraw 10k tel var to get the 4x multipler, so I went back to my base, withdrew them and headed out again. I'd barely even left the base when someone found and killed me. It's almost like they knew.
I have thousands of tel var I almost never use, so I didn't care about losing 5k, but since I was back in the base I decided to deposit what I had and just carry on farming with the 1x or 2x multiplier.
I know it was just blind luck, but it was pretty funny that as soon as I decided it was safe I found seemingly the 1 other person there this morning.
IA for me, much quicker.
Not impressed with the dailies today either. I always keep one treasure map (and one survey and one of each type of writ) in case of daily endeavours and now they are asking that we do two of them. RNG means of course none drop for me today.

thats why i generally never leave the safe area with more than 0 tel var lol
the other reasoning is if i dont withdraw and take any with me, 100% of the tel var im earning is "new" tel var, so if i die and go back to base, even "losing" a portion of what i collected is still a net positive in tel var over what i started with

I don't normally bring any tel var with me either. But it was early morning on a weekday and like I said I hadn't seen any other players since getting to IC so I thought it would be safe to risk it.
It didn't affect getting the weekly done, I just found it funny that I was found and killed immediately after that instead of the hour or so before when I was running around with between 0 and a few hunded tel var.

I didn't need to do additional effort. I'm sure the world bosses are there because of a good chunk of players are just farming dolmens and bosses over and over, I've seen them when I went out and about to get my plunder. They may not have finished all 50 before the event ends but they probably got a good chunk done.
I do agree they should have stuck with 30 at most as that's already a lot to me. But I can see the logic of picking two endeavors that people are doing anyway during an event

I always keep dozens and dozens of treasure maps, crafting surveys, and master writs on hand, mainly because I'm too lazy to work through my incredible backlog, or (in the case of master writs) because I haven't bought and learned the motif pages needed to do them. But I do try to deliberately keep some Alchemy, Enchanting, Jewelry, and Provisioning master writs on hand for when those come up as endeavors.
Or if you just collect the sacks with +300 tel-var during the Zeal of Zenithar event. Now use them 😺SeaGtGruff wrote: »They want to force us to do IA and pvp
Actually, you don't need to PvP to get Tel Var Stones, just do PvE in a PvP-enabled zone. I know that isn't everyone's cup of tea, but the good news is that you don't need to accumulate 1250 Tel Var Stones, just earn that many. That is to say, even if you end up losing every single Tel Var Stone that you earn, it still counts toward the endeavor.

I usually do get stacked up with them and then clear all but one at the weekends so they don't get out of hand again.
Looks like the increase in dailies is a theme right now. Really not impressed with the two thieves troves one at all. It can take ages to find even one when it is a daily endeavour. Finding two is going to take time that I just don't have today.
I really hope they rethink this increased requirements on dailies.
But of course they won't because the few seals we can earn with the dailies, the more people will have to resort to paying for crowns to get the items they want.

I actually feel like a lot of endeavors have gotten much easier lately, although it doesn't seem to be that way with all of them.
The Thieves Trove endeavors are usually pretty easy for me to do, but maybe it's just the time of day when I'm playing. Check out the UESP wiki page about Thieves Troves, because it has a(n incomplete) list of their locations:
