when it needs you to get like 1500-2500 tel var, that takes an avg of like 20 min
even 9 stages in the archive would be faster lolplays PC/NA

✭✭✭✭✭50 World Bosses isn't so bad, especially during an event in which a lot of players are getting together and burning down World Bosses in under a minute.
But I did the Tel Var weekly last night, and it didn't even take very long-- I wasn't timing it, but I think it took 15-to-30 minutes. And I killed 8 dangerous foes for the daily endeavor at the same-- 4 Grievous Twilights in Temple District, then 6 Daedroths in Arboretum District. Throw in some of the Dremoras, plus enough enemies in Arena District to free 12 citizens, and that plus the Tel Var from the reward coffers was enough for the weekly endeavor.
One thing I noticed is that the 10% gold bonus from ESO Plus now applies to the Tel Var you get from the daily district quests reward coffers, so instead of 200 Tel Var per coffer, I was getting 220 Tel Var! (It says 200 while you're looking in the coffer, but 220 when you actually take it out.)
I've fought mudcrabs more fearsome than me!3 -
CristiC✭✭✭If you get 100 telvar before fighting a molag bal general, which patrols near sewers main bases, that's 600x2 + 100 = 1300 assuming no one intervenes to steal half of the 600. Add 200 from a district daylie and you get a total of 1500 in a few minutes.2 -

✭base game wbs generally only take a minute or so solo. eastmarch wbs are super quick.

I suspect that's exactly what they want you to do.
Imperial City (and PvP generally) recently got a big re-work, and we know they use endeavours to encourage players into areas they want us playing, so they probably set the values deliberately to make farming tel-var the more appealing option, even for people who very rarely bother with IC, while still offering a purely open-world PvE option for those who cannot or will not do anything else.

✭✭✭✭✭What counts as a WB in IA? The ones spawning on the circle podium of tricksyness?
Technically, nothing counts as a world boss in the infinite Archive. Even the cycle bosses that are clones of world bosses.
Cycle bosses appear after every two stages. These are the bosses that "spawn on the circle podium of tricksyness." There are also Marauders and Tho'at in terms of bosses that will give you loot.
For plunder skulls, the little scamp that can appear on that podium (GW the Pilferer) also counts as a boss. As well as beating the side portals.
Nothing in the archive counts as a world boss for endeavor purposes.1 -

Drop rate seems to be about 1 in 30 or 40, although I've seen some folks get it on the second boss, while others have not gotten one in multiple days.
You can preview the instrument with the /playarmonica emote, if you got that one from the Order of the Lamp Crown Crates.

✭✭✭Eh, you have seven days to do a weekly Endeavor. You don't have to try and knock them out all in one go or in one day, y'know.
If you do 7 WBs for six days and then 8 on another, you'll have the fifty. The main problem is finding ones that are already spawned.

✭✭Yeah 50 WBs is a lot time wise. I don't like IA so Telvar it is! I play late enough I can be the only in my segment of IC makes it pretty easy...

If only I'd remembered that BEFORE I went to the sewers of Imp City, I'd have saved myself 10 minutes farming the tel var.0
