It would have been great if we could choose between both characters. What do you think?

I can't stand the performance of Tanlorin's VA. Sounds like a kid's cartoon character who's always talking in an abrasive and juvenile tone no matter how serious the situation. One-note, shallow, and endlessly irritating.

This is exactly one of my problems with the voice and personality.
It is *way* too forced cheerful and childish.
One-note, shallow, and endlessly irritating.

While doing Tanlorin quest I noticed that Wisteria might have been a way cooler companion. At least I'm finding Wisteria more appealing than Tanlorin. Her voice acting and accent is much better and she's a really good-looking character. Feels like a missed opportunity here. It would have been great if we could choose between both characters. What do you think?

Skin could be a little grayer and eyes a little redder

I just finished the Tanlorin's quest and haven't changed my mind. I still prefer Wisteria, and the lack of options in the story was really a big disappointment. It further reinforces the idea that it would be very interesting if we had to choose between the two. (at the middle of story, obviously not at the end)
Furthermore, Tanlorin's voice and attitude throughout the quest becomes increasingly tiring. It's very forced, ends up sounding like amateur theater.
Unfortunately, all the female companions in this game have very childish ways of speaking, which is also why Wisteria would have been an excellent opportunity for us to have an alternative with a more adult voice expression. Wisteria's voice acting is actually very good, unlike Tanlorin's.
For now, Sharp-as-Night remains the best overall and my only choice.
