I did it with three other friends, and it was SUPER fun to figure out the mechanics for the first time. It’s not super difficult or anything like that, but it’s fun at just the right level. Having to pay attention to the mechanics and laughing when your friend simply forgets to crouch will forever be one of the most fun moments I’ve had doing an ESO seasonal event. It’s not as hard as a veteran dungeon, but not so easy that it’s forgettable—just the right balance for a group annual event! But I’d be 100% open to new events that are even harder and require more people, I thought it was SO cool, congrats ZOS!
(The quest is also really nice, I had fun with the characters, and I hope the number of Haunted increases in the coming years, with different and fun side stories).
1 Boss per major event would be awesome. Imagine a special end-of-year boss, a special anniversary boss, etc., etc.! (Anyway, it’s been a while since an ESO event made me this happy hahahaha).

There is an issue on PC NA that we are investigating right now. We are trying to identify and resolve the issue as soon as possible.
lol, I'm scared to do it. I heard it was like MoS? Since I don't do dungeons much, I don't know if I've ever done it. I may have made my husband do it for me. I hope to get in there with some patient peeps.
Found it fun as well, but the crouch mechanic does not seem to work(the eye never closed). Even though I crouched, the boss kept seeing me.

Came here to mention this, there's a mechanic where you HAVE to sneak or you just get one shot, as a werewolf I'm just screwed because werewolf can't crouch. @ZOS_Kevin

It was a tedious fight. They took one of the most hated encounters in the game( the indrik boss), made it worse and put it as an event boss. It isn't hard, just annoying and slow. It is also very soloable.

Thank you for highlighting this. Will take this back to the team incase they are not already aware.
Yeah, it was a problem for me too. I tried to use WW during this fight, but since I was not able to cancel ww ulti & go back into hiding in time - I got Instagibed (felt kinda unfair tbh). And to make it worse, boss does this (I think) at least 2 times - at 70% health and at around 40% health (at least this is how it worked for me). I did not wanted to risk it & use WW ulti when boss was low on health, so I am kinda sad not be able to use Werewolf on ESO's equivalent of halloween. I mean I was doing that every Witches Festival, as it is kinda with the theme of the event.IncultaWolf wrote: »JaxontheUnfortunate wrote: »As a werewolf main I likely won't do the hollowjack quest anymore due to the crouch mechanic, but outside of that I am also enjoying the event.

A little bit of feedback:
The boss generally feels unpleasant to fight against. I mean games are fun... when they are fun. But here, aside from the sneaking, there are also max resources drains and snares.
My fight with this boss eneded up looking like this:
Hold heavy attack while moving in slow-motion (snares). Occasionally use ulti or skill if you have resources after like 30 seconds of holding heavy attack. And every time I considered myself lucky if I even was hitting the boss, as there are multiple very similar enemies and boss barely stands out. There is a slight colour difference, but that is about it. Removing the boss bullet-sponge-like health bar took like almost 1 hour (Yeah, I soloed it).
Previous boss (crow) at least had interesting mechanics and did felt nice. This new boss on the other hand felt like some one was wasting my time lol.
Part of the reson is that it seem to be trial boss. Why ? It is not even Undaunted event. Why push trial boss to something like this ? If it at least had a couple of variants so it would scale to a group size . Like aside from having a trial variant, it would have a 4-man version or Infinite Archive version for a duo... then I guess it could have been fun experience.
I am seriously considering skipping this boss for the next days of the event, as I already got the Achievement, but I don't think it is worth the time spend, as it is very unrewarding & is not a fun experience.
