Help me pick a name for my cat! Must be an ESO themed name!

I don't think it was by chance that it showed up just when you needed it most... and when it needed you.

EDIT: The filtered word is a 5 letter word that is commonly used (at least in the UK) as an abbreviation for cat but also is slang for part of the body, hence the filter. It was also the first name of a character in Goldfinger.

Not trying to get round the filter, just explaining why the filter was implemented and giving it some context.

A few years ago we said no more pets....... too many horrible trips to the vets..... you get into your sixties and want to avoid the sadness!

Shortly after that decision we were an unwitting participant in the "Cat Distribution System" and had this guy move in......

Yep that's my keyboard underneath him!!

I have had cats and dogs all my life but this guy was "special" he trained us totally and completely!! Unfortunately our journey with him was short and I still miss him every day but I wish you love and a long life with your new friend..... make every moment special!!

Funnily enough we now have a wild friend who lives in our shed....... he/she finds the house and sometimes people too scary, who knows maybe one day they will overcome their fear.

Caska is the cat that accompanied Queen Ayrenn in the High Isle quest line. Caska has also appeared in other ESO lore.

I love the name Caska. And that cat added so much to the story line in High Isles.

@Veinblood1965 My condolences for the loss of your old cat. Everyone who ever had to say goodbye to their furry friend and family member (or feathery, or leathery, I presume) knows how hard it is. And while I don't believe in higher powers I'm really happy to hear that this meeting occurred at just the right time for both of you!

And speaking of higher powers: Another appropriate name would be Khenarthi, of course.

Sadly, I am horrible at naming things. My last cat got named Periwinkle because he has blue eyes. He was almost liquor themed because he keeps licking everyone. The one before that I didn't name, but is called fluffy buns :P I am sure you can guess why.

The only other two cats I have actually named were Dominic after a song I liked when I was little and Diego after the cat in Ice age, because when I gave him some baby food to introduce myself, he decided to take a chunk... and he hung on, he wasn't letting that delicious food get away. (the 'chunk' was my finger that was under the baby food

)

I am sorry to hear that, I lost my first cat at 18 (his age). Sadly I lost Diego, the second cat I Named at 8 years, in July.

We had a cat (two actually) sort of like that. One was a persian like (not pedigree) and he just showed up and stayed. Friendliest cat I have seen. He had been somewhere else for about a week, and the homeowner would have loved to keep him, but she had too many already (she fed strays).

Second one, my dad looked out the front door and saw a cat eating the food we left out for our neighbor's cat (we live in the country and he has barn cats). I went out, the cat jumped down, I made kissy noises at him, he jumped back up, rubbed me and went back to eating. He is the reason I had Diego. He went and brought a calico (after he was neutered) and she had a litter before we could catch her and get her neutered.

Cats that choose their owners can be some of the best cats in my experience. Loyal and affectionate.

There are so many good names mentioned here already, but I'll add a couple more.

Nirni or Fadomai - if you like Khajiiti cosmology (the former also just sounds especially cute, I think)
Ja'khajiit - the Ta'agra word for "kitten"
Alfiq - rather than a specific name, just use the furstock

Also, this doesn't apply to you, but I always thought if I got a pair of kittens at one time, I'd name them Jone and Jode. (I might even do it with twin children if I could convince my husband.)

Good on you for taking in that kitty, by the way! I have three house-alfiq myself, plus 5 neighborhood cats who come around more or less regularly for food and water. (I'm working on getting the most recent 2 arrivals TNRed.) You have a kind heart.
