Was in a massive fight. About 50v50 or so....no one was dying...long fight back and forth and back and forth...everyone is a GODMODE tank with insane heals and cross heals and no one takes any damage...wtf is this?

Ravenwatch was fine, the procs are meh, but people still die there.

Please fix PVP. My wallet is about to find another hobby!

    Its pretty awful. I stopped playing on GH, because it was more or less ball groups 24/7, and groups of 3 or 4 running back and forth at Arrius mine, being immune to sieges and 20 people chasing them, then back into the tower to play kiss chase.

    The problem is, because many players don't die, you end up being "stuck in combat" which is yet another issue that has never been fixed.

    I came back after a few months break and tried Blackreach, but now everyone seems to have huge shields and tarnished nightmare set.

    I really dont understand why its hard to make a decent PVP experience. Its not. Stop ridiculous heals, shields and make everything equal. If the latest set is a bit OP then thats ok, I think most people can live with that, but at least make everything else level out. I mean why is a game designed that 20 odd people chase 3 guys up the hill at Bleakers and get pelted with damage and siege and it just bounces of them.

    There's nothing fun about that, and in fact puts people off playing it.

    Also the groups of 3-4 that take towns, then hang out in the invulnerable area and wait for it to be re-captured so they can just take it right back :D

    as someone who small scales, that has to be the most boring thing i have read in a while haha. i just get chased by 30 people + siege then rage quit :smiley:

    Sorry OP... I feel you, but it only gonna be worse & worse. For as long as Ball Groups are not being addressed, they will just grow in power, just like how they did for over 10 years now... :disappointed:

    I notice that ballgroups have HP between 38-40 these days. My opinion would be for the battle spirit to nerf HP way down to the ground so that your HP can only reach so far.

    Capping mitigation and penetration would go a long way. It's getting old that people mitigate 95-99% of all dmg and still hit for 9K per skill even on people with 25-30K protection, high armor and crit mit (not to mention under shields or blocking)...

    Seperation is the only answer at this point. Make 2 game modes, on seperate servers. One PvE, one PvP.

    Balance them seperately. Make PvP great again!

    Well, hopefully changing the no-CP campaign will open things up and people will spread out to other campaigns vs just sitting in a que. I know that won't happen because it's a weird thing... basically players sit in a long que and don't go to Blackreach or Ravenwatch much because they are "dead" but they are "dead" because players sit in a long que and don't get some fights going.

    I feel you OP. It can be frustrating.

    Yes, a ballgroup will always beat casual players. That does not mean that they're good in PVP. they know how to spam prox det and spam ult using sets that regenerate ultimate fast. If you chain 1 player from a ballgroup out of their "group" and a 1v1 takes place... the member of the ballgroup will melt like butter because they don't know how to defend themselves in a 1v1 situation.

    definitely agree with the "catch 22" sentiment, i feel that was ravenwatch before changed it to BG rules, when it was no proc, people wouldnt go there because there was no fights, but they didnt like procs lol

    personally the only time i ever go to grey host is when the populations are extremely unbalanced in the other maps (blackreach/ravenwatch)

    I remember when ZOS tested global skill cool downs, again the ball groups stopped playing while the pugs adapted. This notion of ball group "skill" is a myth, they rely on HOT crutch stacking.

    Consider RavenWatch. Without the CP, people actually DIE.

    Before with no-procs it was even better.

    Hence us RW mains liked it (yes we were a minority!)

    CP should only be for PvE. It shouldn't be allowed in ANY PvP. If CP is NOT allowed in bg's, due to "balance" then why is it allowed in Cyrodil? Cyrodil is the PEAK zone for PvP. I only play this game for Cyrodil, but Grayhost is garbage and the currently state of Ravenwatch is garbage...so I'm starting to lean towards being done with this game since the devs only care about PvE and ERP. Being able to wear female clothes on a male character matter to devs more than fixing PvP...like come on.

    The builds used in a ballgroup are designed to buff the group and are mostly weak outside of it. So 1v1 in the case you describe tells you nothing about the quality of the player.

    Yeah, it was the Coldfires that were doing oblivion damage. I had so much fun killing ballgroups with it back in the day. Also, Plaguebreak was doing awesome damage to the ballgroups until it was nerfed to the ground.

    Wait I don’t get it , there is another treat where PvP enjoyers claim azurblight is super op there is absolutely no counterplay for it, here we have to groups batteling each others where no one dies. What is it now ? Just slap azublight on and let the fun begin. Seriously can somebody explain to me how this to sides of a coin get together, I really trying to understand. Thank you

    Alright! Ill farm transmutes, sets, and coin to create the ultimate bomber build to stop these groups! *Azureblight scaling is gets changed, reduced this and reduced that AOE.* Why do I even bother anymore? Is it really worth my sanity for 50 transmutes a month per character?
    Making a game fun should be a priority. Making a game balanced should not come at the expense of fun.

    Anyone notice when the "skilled, min/maxed, coordinated" ball groups actually encounter enough players to give them a proper near even fight, they always start running away to be chased.

    Siege needs a massive damage buff. I've hit groups with Coldfire Trebs and even those are shrugged off.

    I've watched plenty of people in our group "squirrel" and 1v1 someone and win. But to your overall point - well duh - we aren't designed to 1v1 we are designed to work together. No one person has 100% of anything but as a group we have all of the things where as solos are built to hit harder and self heal more.

    We run away because we know everyone will follow right into a choke. Ball groups have plenty of weaknesses. What makes us more skilled, aside from being in coms and everyone being on the same page, is that we know where our weaknesses are and do everything we can to avoid those.

    To your cold fire comment - I wish you could see the amount of heal/buff/ulti spamming our healers have to do to live through alot of the siege people do. On your side you may think it isn't doing anything but I can tell you.. healers be struggling to keep dps alive during some heavy siege moments.

    Ball groups get bombed all the time by people who are smart and wait for the right moment when we are vulnerable. There are tons of ways to counter ball groups but unfortunately the zerglings feed right into them and are easy to be farmed. Ball groups aren't as strong as everyone thinks - the lack of overall coordination in zone is what makes us stronger then the 20 or so pugs who are trying to pick us off.


    I stand by the statement of 12 skilled players in coms with min/maxed group comp who reviews logs for hours post raid will ALWAYS be better than 20 players who show up in random sets with no coordination.

    There is nothing stopping from those 20 people group grouping up or joining coms or even talking in zone chat and coming up with a strat to push out a ball group from a keep.

    Play as you want, right? Isn't that ZoS slogan?

    Just be thankful group size isn't 24. ;)

    I've been in some really long GvGs 20+ minutes where it seems like no one dies. These battles are super intense and it's more of a comp vs comp battle.. to see who is the better guild.

    If either of us put blight on then it's just an instant wipe and a poop show - there is no counter to blight (SPREAD OUT MORE) tried that doesnt work) you get one shot by a ganker everytime).

    If you are NOT getting kills, then I see no issue with your build.

    Just stop chasing them. That's what I do. I just leave the damn tower....NOPE
