Varen's Watch would've been a good place to do the endeavour. Alas, Varen's Watch technically isn't West Weald, so any kills there don't count. I ended up going for the 10 guild dailies instead.

I've never heard of golden pursuits, what are they?

@ZOS_Kevin Thanks for your comments. Could you also please respond to the concern that the numbers involved in the various endeavour requirements have clearly risen in recent weeks, e.g 300 kills where it was always 250, and there are other examples in both daily and weekly endeavours?

Golden Pursuits is a new system of tasks to do each week from all aspects of the game. There was a thread that showed a screenshot of the system on the PTS if you want to see what it looks like for yourself.

A new feature designed to give players even more ways to earn in-game rewards will make its debut in Update 44 – Golden Pursuits! This new feature will be dynamic and appear during special limited-time windows.

Participation in Golden Pursuits will allow players to earn special account-wide rewards including items, in-game currencies, and more. When active, a selection of activities will be available to complete and appear in a special menu within the Group and Activity Finder. As players complete Golden Pursuit activities they will unlock milestone rewards along the way, all while working to earn a special capstone reward. These new activities won’t always be available but when they are live, a notification for Golden Pursuits will appear on the announcement panel. Players will be able to track specific tasks as they work to earn the capstone reward.

The first Golden Pursuit campaign will go live sometime after Update 44 rolls out to all players, so be on the lookout for an opportunity to earn great rewards!

As for the change in number value for endeavors, we'll pass that question along to the team for review. We'll pass along any answers we get.

    Hi All,

Just wanted to note that we chatted with the team and ran some tests. The endeavor is working as intended. Goblins do not count as humanoid for the sake of the endeavor. We have shared this with our teams to note the confusion here. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

I killed some other mobs that sure looked humaoid, I think in the lower left, but they didn't count either.
    (Shardborn as I check now.)

As others have noted, it is the finding that is hard, not the killing.

    🤔

2 Khajiit friends and me just did mages, fighters and undaunted guild (Bolgrul) today. We had a lot of fun cause the smallest was just lvl 30.

Now we all have 9 from 10 weekly endeavors... and its just monday.

No problem and much laughter (Over there is the chest for the mages guild, don't touch the bowl then the dungeon boss will come... DONT... - look this pretty bowl "touches it with her paws")

Thanks @ZOS_Kevin. I have checked the thread that is from and have asked whether it will be possible to disable Golden Pursuits so as not to be bombarded with notifications and reminders about another reward-driven distraction from our preferred method of play that we may have no interest in. The more of these sorts of distractions there are, the more important it is that we have the choice to opt out of them.

The "kill 300" would fit the event if it were possible to find 300 even somewhat easily in that zone. Too few meet this requirement there.

killing citizens also counts towards this endeavor "Defeat 300 Humanoids in West Weald", with blade of Woe u can avoid bounty, the shadow queen's cowl mythic helps to spot targets. Though it is strange why delve's mobs do not count, especially ones not on the map borders, like "Legion's Rest".

I think it kind of weird given that there's an event when you get boxes for doing delves (don't count for the endeavor), world bosses (most of which are monsters) and mirrormoor (alll monsters). Seems like they teo could have worked together instead of being mutually exclusive.

I went over just to look around and get Way Shires on one toon. Had to group just to get 4 on a world boss. There are a lot of NPC's that should count as humanoids ....... This should be 300 NPC's in West Weald .... not 300 humanoids. 300 Blades of Woe .... or 300 civilian kills w/o racking up bounty, unless you have a toon that has all those cp for this ,,,, This is a really BAD endeavor. I don't even remember guild quests. I thought once a guild got to that lvl no one did them?

Fastest one is BG. Just tank up, block on flags, go in and heal a lot and you come out with 3K plus points most games. It did take 6 games to get the 16K though. I think most players were getting about 1500-2000 points a game from what I saw.

Maybe to level companions. Some guild quests raise their disposition. Also, you get scriptures from them now.

I did fighters, mages and Bolgrul's daily yesterday. 3/10 done. Takes 4 days to have it completed. Doable, or at least less annoying than searching for humanoids to kill in the West Weald, especially when everybody is doing the same.

I don't know if it's been mentioned yet, but Tales of Tribute dailies don't count. It makes sense, since it's technically a club instead of a guild. But, I figured it was worth noting.

Have long given up on any daily endeavour that takes more than a few minutes to complete.

The problem isn't the 300 or finding them, it is the fact that the endeavour is restricted to a zone which barely has any of that type spawn. Which means we have to wait for respawns and have to compete with other players for the kills/respawns.

Even the posted video has a spawnspot of only like 12-15 there. and we need 300... which is over 2 hours, even if we were to have that place for ourselves. Remake that same video in that same spot while getting all 300 kills, it would be over 2 hours long.

Change endeavours like this to just "300 humanoids", without the zone(or other) restrictions.

I'm not sure what area the video is in, but the area I used that has the carvan (I think) enemies near Ontus took 20 minutes with other players there. The enemies respawn very very fast

    (Shardborn as I check now.)

Some humanoid-looking enemies will not count if they're "no longer humanoids," such as humanoids who've been infected by vampires ("bloodfiends"), and I assume that "shardborn" would fall into that category. They need to be regular humanoids who aren't infected or changed into something else by disease or other nefarious means. Edit: Bands of humanoid outlaws are usually good targets for this type of endeavor.

The fastest might be to do the fighter guild dolmen, this require multiple characters as in minimum 2.

ZOS would probably have just called it "average humans" if it wouldn't also include mer, Khajiit and Argonians. That's probably the whole reason for using the term "humanoid", that unfortunately leads to confusion.

So, I took the advice from this thread and tried to do the 300 humanoids at Ondus mine. This worked great due to the incredibly fast respawn times there, thanks for this info!

Did encounter a few other players, but we shared all the kills. Took about 20-25 minutes total.

PS: Not sure why the humanoids spawn so fast there, seems weird given all other mobs everywhere in the game seem to respawn after 5-10 minutes. Not complaining, it is just unexpected.

I have the impression that the spawn rate is related to how many people are around, no matter if it comes to enemies or crafting materials.

It's just not certain whether I'd be able to log in at the end of the week, and then it would be a pity not to get a started endeavour completed. So many unforeseen things might happen. My computer could crash, there could be a sponteneous outbreak of the bubonic plague after 700 years, or a meteor could destroy the Earth.
