The Pet invoked with Eye Of The Infinite, have a big Health(300k+) pool yeah but the damage it does is ridiculously low.

It's really a shame for a achievement and a tool that takes a lot of time to be made.

on my dps character with 2 of the well trained command it was hitting for 30-50k per hit, not sure how that is low dmg lol

2 stacks of well trained command increased its dmg by 50% yes, but in order to get to 30k, it would already have to be doing about 20k dmg at base

its base dmg/crit is scaled from your stats

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

What kind of damage does it do? Single target direct damage? How often? What type of damage? Physical? Magic? Can it apply status effects? Does it inherit your verses/visions, like Focused Efforts or Prickly Retort?

    1. i dont know if the dmg is typed
    2. it has 1 short cooldown moderate dmg single target attack, and 2 longer cooldown aoe attacks (one is a 360 degree knockback that does heavy dmg and snares, the other is a conal that can stun for 1 second, also heavy dmg)
    3. the single target attack is its short cooldown spammable, it tends to use the other ones slightly less often (the knockback one usually when enemies are in melee range, the conal in most other cases as it has more range)
    4. the only status effect i can tell it applies is knockback, stun, and snare
    5. it does not inherit visions like companions do, as its treated as more of a pet pet like the sorc summons or warden bear

hopefully this answered your questions lol

i also had a thread explaining what the pet is able to do and learning about it here https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/664852/eye-of-the-infinite-new-archive-tool

Thanks for this info, I had been wondering if well-trained command affected the auditor.

It seems weird to base it's damage on the player's stats, as that would make the pet basically useless on tank/heal specced characters. This explains why I feel the auditor's damage is so incredibly low though, as I am half tank specced.
ZOS really needs to make the auditor do a static amount of damage, so it benefits every player/build the same way. To be honest I find it strange it isn't already programmed like this, as the auditor takes quite a bit of effort to unlock!

the apocryphal emissary works similarly, its dmg is also based on your stats (and is buffed by well trained command)

i notice both do roughly twice as much dmg on my dps toon as my tank toon (the basic "gaze" attack does ~4-6k non crit on my tank and ~9-12k non crit on my dps without any well trained command bonuses)

thats why i was suggesting that they work like sorc pets or warden bear, as they are also technically scaled on the users stats, and cannot proc player sets

the first tier of apocryphal emissary is far weaker than the watcher pet, i think the 2nd tier of apocryphal emissary is about the same quality as the watcher pet

my main dislike with the watcher pet is the extremely long summon animation, which gets annoying as you have to resummon it every time you die

I love my new Watchling pet! Got it a few days ago. I would also love for it to be buffed, but even as-is it is still a nice little bonus in there.

I am pretty sure every Vision/Verse in IA is scaled to your stats. Flame Aura, Swift Gale, Storm Caller, Ferocious Support, Scorching Support, etc. I am not surprised that Eye of the Infinite is the same. That seems to be a design decision for the entire Archive. High survivability but everything takes forever to kill, or low survivability but everything melts.

True, but those things are different. The auditor is an unlockable upgrade, which requires quite some effort to unlock. So it should be working the same for everyone, it should provide the same boost for everyone. Seems unfair to have it any other way.

Maybe ZOS can balance the auditor's damage based on the arc it is in. Starting at 10k-15k dps in arc 1, and granted a +1k or +2k dps per defeated Tho'at.

at those numbers, it would be a good nerf for my dps characters

but for a tank character, only increasing its avg dps by like 2k per arc would scale up way too slow, it would become less useful more quickly

the biggest advantage i see of this pet is that it can draw some aggro, and at the same time being unkillable

i can confirm now that it absolutely does not take dmg at all, because it was hanging out next to me while i was tanking and arc 5 marauder (ulmor, which has 2 aoe bursts that were not affecting the watcher at all, its health didnt drop, didnt gete knocked back, just constant dmg)

the apocryphal emissary pet can still take dmg and die, though it will auto respawn after a few seconds
