[REQUEST] Give us skin textures for male characters at age or around 20 years (Earth years)

AnduinTryggva

✭✭✭✭✭
Female characters can be created that have a skin texture that makes them really look like they are just out of age (twenty something).

But for most races pushing the age slider all to the left for male characters they look like they are thirty something with beginning of wrinkles. This is really bad for elves.

I for instance wanted to make a boyish looking bosmer, so equivalent to a human 19 year old or so but it is impossible - even when playing with general head feature and setting it to the soft corner.

So please add a wrinkle-free skin also for males.

And I am 100% certain that it is doable without interfering with exiting characters.

They just have to expand the slider for the age category by one position and as I am quite certain that slider position corresponds to some alphanumeric value you just have to modify correspondence between new slider positions and alphanumeric value.

EDIT: The age I want to create is someone around 20 years of age. Today we get male characters that resemble more like guys in their 30ies.

And while we're at it: Why are they all so hairy? Might look good on a Nord or so, but on some other characters,... well.

I'm not talking about replacing the texture, but about giving us options.

Some might call it oversensitive, I don't know, but I think it is an important aspect in character creation. I'm not expecting ZOS to let us choose from 12 different varieties as they do with beards, but there should at least be some alternative to having them extremely hairy.

I personally don't mind at all with one of my Dunmer characters who is a rogue-ish nb, but on my sorc it looks ridiculous. He's supposed to be the slightly vain, dainty, "pretty boy" type (and if you mock him, he'll just incinerate you), and he also looks like this normally, unless a costume doesn't cover enough of his chest... then he looks more like a hairy raccoon :D

Why must the hair be one color!!! I have a “dunmer” (my Maormer) who has white hair but black body hair and I cannot express enough how much it bothers me.

Support! I love hairy men in their 30s, so I'm fine with how they look, BUT I'd support the ability for others to have different characters to their tastes.
Would also make the fuzzy men more unique lol. Instead of... being the only option to play a male character.

    lol

Tween as sb around twenty. Not Teen ;)

Most ppl should be out of acne - if they had any (I didn't).

Tween comes before teen - it's for the years after childhood but before teenage years proper (13+). It's often given as 8-12 or 9-12.

I think OP means a twen.

As in the German for someone in their twenties? (Which apparently can mean as young as 15…)

Yeah I was confused by the usage of 'tween' cause to my understanding, that's basically a child. But I read the OP's actual post and understood what they meant.

Does somebody in Germany really use that, outside of marketing/advertising? I know no one who does (all I hear is basically "baby, small child, child, teen/youth, young adult, adult" - or even more commonly "child, youth, adult"). But I think it's more common in English.

With Bosmer, it's hard to tell anyway, if they don't have a beard ;)

Genuinely unsure. I have literally never heard the word “twen” in English in any context or any place I’ve lived in the States (Northeast, Southeast, West), nor have I seen it in anything in English I’ve read online before today. Perhaps it’s regional or generational.

I had wondered about that as well, since 'tween' here means between about 10-12 years of age.

I do agree, less hairy textures would be great.

I've seen it in international forums (or more like mostly US, but with many users from other countries around, too). But then again, those users might have been from German-speaking countries or picked it up from there, who knows.

Oh, ok. That is not what I meant. I meant someone around 20 years of age. My mistake (English is not my mother tongue).

I will correct title and precise it in the first posting.

EDIT: It was never and will never be my intention to create a playable child in ESO and I will never ask for such. I understand and fully support the decision to not model children at all in ESO.

A possible work around: I made an older looking bosmer on purpose, but when I use most facial appearance collectibles (like colored eyes) it removes his wrinkles and leaves a much younger skin texture.

Actually we need more chest hair and also able to have beards on Female Bosmer. I like to create the short, stout, and husky wood elves because they're basically dwarves at that point

This drove me crazy when I was 20 and wanted to make characters who were my age. I could only do it if I rolled female characters, because age sliders always seemed to start at around 40 years for male characters.

Also it cracks me up in ESO when the writing suggests you're supposed to be speaking to a "young man" and the NPC looks like he's on the far side of middle age, lol. Even just for immersion it'd be nice if they had some younger textures.

That's the stress. If you were threatened by the planemeld, dragons, vampires and a dozen of daedric invasions, you'd get wrinkly early, too.

Your idea of 20 and their's might be different. You probably mean a younger, never went outside and was spoonfed 20,not a outdoors fighting, mining, hunting, etc type of char.So it's all a matter of perspective.

Well, even an outdoorsy type (while maybe tanned instead of "indoors light skintone") might not have much body hair. Some people just don't - and it shouldn't be "every male of any age or race is very hairy" even in a fantasy game.

You can play a scholar or a noble in this game though, and I doubt that a young Telvanni or the son of an Altmer kinlord spends a lot of time doing hard physical work or fighting.
