1. Druid. Has the ability to shapeshift into many various animals including bear, panther, etc. When in the animal form a character will gain those powers of the specific animal. Will also have nature based magic that can damage enemies
22. Elementalist. The ability to control 4 elements including earth, fire, wind, and water. Character can swap elements to gain different powers based on the element selected.
223. Tinker: will have the ability to build different turrets and gadgets that will assist with damage, tanking, and healing. Gadgets can be applied to weapons and armor or thrown at enemies.

I would prefer no classes at all (as in Skyrim) or classes with no significant restrictions (as in Oblivion). . . but that horse left the barn long ago.

So. . . let me simply ask for no more new classes.

If changes are felt necessary, then tinker around the edges with existing classes to give them more flexibility. Fold druid type abilities into the Warden or give Sorcs elementalist abilities, etc.

i do not desire extra classes as none of my existing characters can use them.

sadly with your choices i doubt any of them would happen as except for Tinker we already have them partially.
and i doubt zos would repeat class themes.

Druid is partially Warden, cannot transform into animals but can summon animals and the entire class has nature magic.

Elementalist is Dragonknight with Earth and Fire.
And Warden with Wind and ice though not water.
A class with liquid water magic would be cool, but what else would it have?

Tinker or Tinkerer? could be fun as a class with clockwork or dwemer combat pets.

Though with any new skills i wish all characters could use them instead of it being exclusively for one class.

Tinker is interesting, and considering that there are already many examples of using machinery in the game, such as Dwemer machinery and clockwork city. There are even animations related to skills/sets, such as: Mad Tinkerer.

Obviously using Tinkerer as a new class is in line with the background of the game, and it is also novel enough because it breaks away from the traditional magic and swords (at least visually)

It's alway funny when I see someone saying that druid should be exclusively a shapeshifter / nature magic class, when you see in game druids being much more than that. Druids in ESO aren't druids in DnD or Wow or whatever your preconception for druids come from. There is already a defined druid concept in ESO ( be it good or bad, it's another matter to discuss ).

And sure, none of the existing classes fully embodied them, and you can add that the currents classes are a bit messy and sometime conflicting in there themes, or lacking some things that maybe should belong to them.

As for the tinker concept, I can't say i'm very interested by it; something inspired by the dwemers could be fun, but dwemers also seem to be more than just tinkers, so... Also I think it would be more interesting to have something related to them as a new skill lines, or scribing options eventually ( or even an entire line of skills that can each be scribed, let's be crazy ! ).

    [Don't close/lock thread]

I'm still curious about how a Bard class would work in ESO so I'm leaning towards that. But mostly, I just want more weapon choices. I'm so bored of destruction staff, 2H, DW, and bow. I guess sword and shield works as a fifth option but I have 12 characters so I'm not feeling these options anymore.

    1. I want an "Unarmed" skill line. Our weapon slots would be filled by "cuffs" or bracelets, and be able to be hidden by our outfit style.
    2. Then we can do the One-handed skill line (or one-hand and rune) skill line.

With how lackluster and poorly designed arcanist was I'd rather not see another class anytime soon. + class identity is a thing of the past with hybridization and zos adding scribing to the game.

Man, there are so many that could work fantastically from a character point of view. But alas! This all would be hell for balancing the classes against each other. As we have seen with Arcanist.

I wouldn't really want another class since the classes we have now I think are pretty solid in terms of how they play and making another one creates a lot more balancing issues going forward. I think its also a little too soon anyway for a new class to be added since we got the Arcanist 2 years ago.

A new skill line would be more desirable. For me it would be alteration magic since those spells can be directly tied to tanking with buffs and debuffs. This would free up the ice staff to be adjusted to be more 'destruction' oriented rather than tanky. I also don't like the passive that changes what my block does with an ice staff equipped. Kind of weirds me out for tanking.

ideally i’d like a new weapons skill line and i think one handed and spell would fit that cathegory the best. No extra work from ZoS in designing 100+ new motifs for weapons since we can reuse the regular one handed weapons we have now. It would also be a nice blend of magic and physical which would stand out compared to the other weapon lines.

As for classes i don’t have anything specific in mind, though it would be nice to get classes based on tamrielic cultures rather than ones based on daedra worship. People have wanted a more martially oriented class for a while now and we have plenty of materials for classes for that, looking at the redguard swordsingers or nord/orc berserker type class.

I want the NPC Void Mage class to be released so my Namiran reachwitch can exist fully realized.

I'd even settle for a re-skinned Arcanist; having one "void/lovecraft" themed class is fine, but having it literally be HERMA MORA with herma mora sigils and herma mora books and herma mora writing everywhere is bad...

... my reachwitch can't even read. There's 15 (and change) other princes, and other than the trash Voidcaller set and BIS-but-only-2-items Void Bash set, there's not really anything Namira-themed... at least explicitly.

None. Focus on adding more weapon and world skill lines.

If you do have to add a class, an "Adventurer" that can freely use any skill line with a limit of three class skill lines for maximum customization is my vote, but that's too close to Skyrim's philosophy and would be woefully unbalanced in an MMO, so it probably will never happen.

Cyromancer, because frost magic should be viable for more than just tanking. Stamina variants of the skills could aesthetically transform ice into steam, causing a new type of physical damage called Scalding.

I love the idea of shapeshifting. However, what we truly need are more world skills. Thats right, let me turn into an eagle, ghoul, bear, or even a Daedra. Stop saying we can't fly in this game if you can do so with a mount if you jump at a rock at the right angle. Just make it happen and allow fall damage if you transform in air. It would be nice to be a bear while triggering selene monster set to summon another bear. I can go on, but world transformation skills need to be more abundant. You can literally sell dlcs with this idea, it won't ever be free.
Making a game fun should be a priority. Making a game balanced should not come at the expense of fun.

Taking a look at this and saying that I fully believe warden should receive a rework especially with the ice DPS debacle to an actual druid. That is what that class technically is/is based off of.

Yes. Rework the entire Warden class into a Druid-like class with pet skills, plant skills, and various animal forms. Introduce a physical damage staff (see, for inspiration, the Japanese bo staff — “Bō technique includes a wide variety of blocks, strikes, sweeps, and entrapments”) for tanking. Rework the ice staff so that it actually can be used for damage dealing. Then introduce a Cyromancer class focused on dealing damage with shards of ice. The stamina damage morphs could transform ice into steam, and introduce a new type of physical damage called Scalding. The Cyromancer’s healing line could be achieved by transforming ice into soothing mists and springs. The tanking line would use hardened walls of ice.

Net result: we have a nature/Druid class that feels like it should, and an ice-focused class that feels like it should, PLUS an alternative tanking staff that feels like a tanking staff should.

    Come on, ZOS. Hire me.

To expand on what others have said. A new class needs to offer a new way to play with unique mechanics. An Artificer would simply be robot pets with a few mines.

An actual class would be some kind of Hexer class that specialises in curses or maybe even Oblivion damage based off Max HP. Also, there is no true class that specialises in Disease Damage.

Personally I would rather they add a new staff to the game that has a Blood themed Magic Damage spells with Plague themed Disease Morphs. Yes this would be another staff, but it would give Stam toons another ranged option and save the devs from having to create a whole plethora of motifs.

I rely HEAVILY on that. I have Ice Staff on my combat bar and shield on backbar. I alternate between the two to ensure my guard remains up. Low on mag? Swap to Shield. Low on stamina? Swap to Ice Staff.
In some aspects I hate the Stormweaver's Cavort because I can't alternate my blocking resource pool with it on. Course, I don't use that on my tanks. I use it on my sprint builds. + Prisoner's Rags. Still can't make up my mind on fiords or cowards gear though.
