Auto-steal /auto-loot can't be turned off

On a whim I went down into the Necrom Underway, sort of a quick run through before bed. And I wanted to start looking into the containers, before I took anything, just like I always do.

Instead, I auto-looted. Every container!

I checked my settings. Auto-loot, on. Auto-steal, off.

Turned auto-steal on, did reload ui, turned auto-steal off, did reload ui. Still auto-stealing everything.

Turned auto-loot off completely. Did reload ui. Still stealing everything, even auto loot is definitely off.

If I hadn't tried this in the Underway, this might have ended very, very badly... O.o

Noticed this too since u43 patch today. Checking containers = bounty due to enforced auto-loot. :/

Damn, I thought my addons were just screwed up. Hopefully they'll hotfix this this week. I'm looting all kinds of garbage by accident.

Confirming this, even with the most recent update (3.1.6.9) and Lazy Writ Creator/Crafter's setting set to "Copy the setting under the Gameplay settings."

With Lazy Writ Creator/Crafter enabled, Autoloot ON but Auto-steal OFF results in auto-stealing.

Disabling Lazy Writ Creator/Crafter, reloading UI, and repeating the process with the same Gameplay settings results in no auto-stealing.

Thank you! I checked with the Lazy Writ page on esoui and they wrote that they'd fixed it. I'm going to download the newest version and see whether that's true. If not, I will disable the addon until it's fixed.

    Thanks!

Can confirm the latest addon from today (2024-08-20) fixes the issue.

Thanks @Ravensilver for raising the bug and @Jhava and @virtus753 for identifying the sources and suggested fixes.
