Night Capping is Making PvP Pointless - Please do Something ZOS

But apparently in the world of ESO, it somehow is that hard because night capping has occurred for over a decade.

IMHO all talk about prime time or it being the fault of this faction or that is just deflection. The problem is that it is apparently rewarding to paint the map monochrome. That's a game flaw, not a mentality flaw. And from a technical pov it could actually be rectified comparatively easily by dropping all scoring and rewards for holding assets and only reward capturing assets.

If they did that, they could easily apply a very impactful population modifier. For instance, for alliance x it could be the ratio of the number of people in the smallest alliance divided by the number of people in alliance x. Good luck 'nightcapping' then. You'd get absolutely nothing.

I suppose you might ask: 'but how, then, do you score a campaign?' to which my answer would be "why should we?" In fact, why have campaigns at all? For those who are competitive, you can still have a rolling leader board. I seriously don't understand why ZOS have never tried anything along these lines. It requires hardly any new assets and the scoring seems actually simpler.
Please stop making requests for game features. ZOS have enough bad ideas as it is!

I just want transparency on those bars ... NUMBERS not bars.

All they would have to do is balance the populations. 20 v 20 v 20 ... allowing a difference of 2 or 3 players. I don't see where anyone has fun when it's 4/1/1, 1/4/1 or 1/1/4. Even 4/2/3 is unplayable. And if its 2/4/2 ... EP has the whole map ... there is nothing to do. I leave when they start rolling the map and camping the back keeps.

BUT, players transfer so they can PV Door the map. You would think players would try BR or Raven. But heavily outnumbered populations encourage everyone to just ... leave OR PV Door the map.

Alliance transfers and multiple account players have made a 3 sided war obsolete. Need to drop to 2 sides like BG. But idk, ZOS seems to recognize that a lot of players want to PVD and only play when they have overwhelming population advantage. My solution is just to log off. Finding myself doing that more and more.

What about some sort of mercenary system with incentives to swap and play on the low pop faction for a short period of time while the population is heavily imbalanced? I can think of lots of ways it could be abused, but I'm not a dev., who could maybe think of some limitations to reduce trolling. There could be some sort of checks put in place like a timer so if the population goes up after an hour you have to go back to your faction.

That would be showing us how crazy low the population caps are.

How would that work when multiple players from one faction leave? Should then players from other factions be kicked or something?

It would just a temporary advantage. Their pop would lock until it even out again..
