Review the sections in the code of conduct regarding targeted harrassment and assume that a reasonable human will look at your actions and the context around what you did and arbitrarily had to decide if you crossed a line, then assume a safe margin of error.

That's probably as close as you will get since they said it's a case by case situation. Sometimes, the best way to avoid crossing, or even being pushed across, a line is to stay very very far from it.

And sometimes I should listen to my own advice.

    Stop invoking Gina.
    She's left the building.

Read the TOS yourself and work it out.
If it harasses someone and they ask you to stop; and you don't stop, then the answer is yes.

Otherwise, why would they give them (the emotes) to you?

If it's about teabagging, then this is how I have understood it:

    • If you are getting teabagged by someone and ask them to stop, and they do listen, then it appears to be okay.
    • If it is someone that does it repeatedly to you (even after asking them to stop), then you should be free to report it.

I personally have been on the receiving end a few times, and honestly, I barely pay attention to who does it, since everything happens too fast around me to notice names.

Why are you pinging the content creator manager? Gina is no longer the community manager.

Use common sense and do not target anyone, stop if asked. Topic has been discussed recently as pointed out.
I once had someone using an emote digging with a shovel on my body and I thought it was hilarious.
I specifically remember this taunt on stores some time ago. Too bad they often don't work due to in combat.

Taunt your contemptible opponent by kicking some dirt at them.

They have already answered this. If someone asks you to stop try to avoid doing it. Pvp is kind of hard since many go offline to avoid being targeted or getting childish messages. But if you see or are able to ask someone to stop, just stop. People can also take it less seriously, it is mmo pvp after all. If you really feel harassed and targeted you need to provide video evidence of them being messaged and continued harassment.

People say silly things all the time, if he asked you to stop and you saw it. Just try to avoid harassing that person if possible.

Just to be fair, I'm not sure they announced this on the forums at ALL? I think I saw it on Twitter or something. But it could be easy for someone to miss. (Also 'grats Gina if you happen to show up here :P )

This topic keeps appearing lately. I don't recall ever seeing it so much.

IF you are reported for it, you are NOT guaranteed of the outcome.

SOLUTION: Don't do it. WHY risk for a pointless and childish gesture.

From a corporate legal view, I can see where this might cause complications so I would NOT push this. It offers no reward and is pointless. DON"T DO IT. Goes back to the old adage, if you have to ask, the answer is usually NO.

It is part of pvp culture, as long as I can remember. The past 10 years or so people have started to get so sensitive and have the victim mind set. Personally I only bothered to do emotes when it was an obvious try hard because they take it way too seriously and it isn't meant to be malicious or harassment. If you feel that hurt without being directly contacted and harassed in messages, perhaps it is time to go outside, take a break, and touch grass.

I NEVER do anything but don't have a problem with others. But with the tattle tale culture that seems to be pretty strong in the game now days, I just advise ppl not to do it. My PVP guilds have agreed it's too risky now days.

And consider, we are in a more "woke" society than we were 10 years ago. What was acceptable then, maybe not so much now.

Yes, there is nothing funnier in PvP than watching someone get ganked while they are wasting time teabagging. And it happens a lot!

The ToS are formulated poorly, there is little point in trying to base your behaviour according to them. I had an exchange with customer service that lasted for 4-5 mails, where I just asked them about the correct interpretation of their "baiting" rule. I know as much as I did before.

In the end it is down to the mood of the GM/Mod that handles your report and the best thing you can do is not interacting with others. That should be mostly safe.

Here is my advice, don't expect people to have thicker skin these days. Everybody wants to be a victim these days, so just lay off the emotes on a dead pixel you just killed. And if you are the person being "emoted" after being "killed" and feels hurt, I don't want to be condescending but one thing helped me when I first experienced this 14 years ago and felt really offended, meditation.

If you have been told to stop and don't then you can be perm-banned.
      But, ZOS requires video evidence

Will never understand why people stay dead and not revive, it's one thing if the fight is ongoing and you have a chance of being revived by another player but if the other side is all just standing around instead of hunting down straggler it should be crystal clear your side got wiped out, revive at the nearest keep and move on.
