Character Customisation

I would like to see a full recustomisation feature as well. I spend a lot of time in the beta to create my charakter for start and wrote every singel option on a paper. But as it seems i made a mistake and the lips of my sexy breton templar are now too thin making her not so sexy at all ;)
I wrote a ingame ticket to ask the support if this feature is planned or coming soon, but its day 2 still no awnser :(

But i'm allmost sure this feature will come as other games like Guild Wars 2, Rift, Swtor and the one thing i wont name all have this feature. Besindes that Skyrim had a facesculptor added.

I personaly dont care about a gender change, but as is know how much the thin lips are bugging me i can understand that someone wants to change everything including gender and name of the character.

As this is a game with a monthly fee and a shop i think the best course for zenimax to please all customers would be:
-Barber-Shop to change Hair/Tatoos/Adoorements for gold
-Full character recustomisation excluding gender/name for cash in shop
-Full character recustomasation including gender excluding name for (a bit more?) cash in shop
-Character name change for cash in shop

But if they make all these options just for gold i wouldnt mind too, but i think what i wrote is the more realsitic option as seen in the other games.

    So vote for Facesculptor now!

There was a dev Q&A that mentioned tinting armor, but it wasn't implemented. Maybe in the future.

It seems likely they will introduce a barbershop at some point, but as for full character recustomization - expect to see it in the cash shop at some point alongside that palomino horse.

During my customization, I had the bug for my Breton. I decided to make his skin a little bit lighter than the fair-tanned Imperial I had. Though, when I logged in, he looked like a vampire.

He was WAY too white. (With a lot of Yellow, it was disgusting.)

Now, I don't play him. I do hope they make cosmetic changes to hair & such later in time, not for actual money but for gold; a hair shop or something along those lines.

The no zoom bug was tragic!! I restarted my character because he looked pretty dumb because of it... Feels bad, man.

I can't wait for the ability to sculpt though. That is so necessary even if it has to be insanely expensive to do.

I'm ready to pay IRL cash for the possibility to change my character's appearance (facial features, body, hair, etc.) if I feel I'm not happy with my current character.

It would also help a ton if there was an option to save a character template and reuse it when creating a new character. Or if they even added numbers on the character creation sliders to easily remake something that we liked.

I'm waiting for more customization options because at the moment there simply aren't enough to make an attractive looking character.

Guys stop, we're paying monthly fee in order not to have a cash shop, stop puting this idea in the dev's mind >.<

I'm glad a MMO finally came back to this payement method, because it's supposed to prevent from *** cash shops. We should be able to find an NPC here for IG gold, not paying even more money for that !

I would also like to find a facesculptor and hairchanger NPCs

They already have a mount in a cash shop. It is going to happen.

In addition, many games do barbershops in-game; but I can't think of any that do resculpts with in-game NPCs.

I feel Dyes should be alchemical but Common maybe having most Reagents having a colour as well as stats , Dye could be a crafting Type for Alchemy, this would set up a Low cost Common System for at least most Dyes and Barbers for gold.

physical changes I agree with Drazhar should be cash shop

IIRC you still had to purchase the ticket for resculpt from the cash shop after getting your first free one.

Seriously, I couldn't zoom in when I created my first Character, so I created a very low generic male one with an embarrassing name.

I have grown attached to my character now but I would like to be able to change EVERYTHING ...I really really really want to change him to a pretty girl with broad hips, long hair, no tattoos or scars, nice feminine armor, make up, lipstick, high heeled boots, jewelry.... and a nice name!

    1) I want to see a customixe option in game similar to rifts I love my bosmer, but DAM! she has a big honker!
    2) nothing, i repeat NOTHING should be in the cash shop besides vanity pets and mounts.
we pay a sub guys, no way should they be charging us for changing a hairstyle or 2!!!!!!!!!!!!! we pay for this stuff to be free. If they gonna charge us for what are now industry standard perks then lose the sub!

True enough, but correct me if I'm wrong; it's been a while since I've played it, but I seem to remember opening a bag I got from questing which had a plastic surgery ticket or a hairdressing ticket in it.

Though from what I hear they still hadn't implemented in-game dyes. (Which sucked since there was a tragic lack of white clothing.)
  • TheMagickHat77
I'd also love to see dyes in this game, simply because I like assigning color schemes to each of my characters (and I'm nowhere near a master of the crafting system yet. Not sure what'll happen when that changes).

As it is I've noticed the colours of armour change the higher its quality. I suppose materials have an effect on this as well. However this isn't ideal since people who have similar qualities and/or materials will still look like each other.

When I customised my ruggard Nord, the close-up bug was happening. All I could do was to get him to twirl in shadowy darkness and no facial closeups.

So I gave him the blonde hair of a Nord... not too blonde (I thought), just an off colour golden blonde. I put what I thought was a full face beard and mustache that befit a Nord of the high country. Gave him shoulder length hair that was the closest to what I thought was appropriate. Gave him a bit of a twirl, added a tatoo but couldn't see that it did anything. Pressed submit.

Got the peep out into a bit of sunlight and he not only has peroxide hair, but has a handlebar mustache!! He looks like Hulk Hogan!!!

Now I have an ageing wrestler running around Tamriel, trying to find a barber to revamp his look.

Man, I should have opted for the darker hair and mohawk. I might have got Mr T!

I would love dyes. Reguard robes are great to show off your tattoos (if you're a guy, I have no idea what they look like on woman), but the lime green color makes them look very questionable, unless of course you upgrade it and it makes it a tolerable blue.

I would absolutely adore the choice of being able to change the appearance of my gear. I love the Breton Dragonknight gear in the create character menu but I'd love to be able to change the colours to black and darkish blue oppose to just black.

And as or the hair style options I'd love my Breton to be able to have more hairstyles that look closer to my actual hair.

Sure but it could be in-game cash. I.e. it costs 2500 for a full do-over or 500 just to change the hair of face/body markings.

It would not have to be a actual cash money shop.

I know in my case the face zoom did not work so while I am pleased with the turn out I could not get it exactly how I wanted, also the height and build appears to have reset from what I originally selected, so my avatar is short instead of being maxed out in height.

Both questions I can't answer, but would be really cool additions. I would send this to /feedback in-game, maybe they can update it sometime.

If you use "/feedback" in-game, you will be able to help the team of ESO build a better game.

You know what for me is very odd/weird and "uh" it is the "Adornments" they combine beards with adornments, why they din't make a different slide for beards and adornments apart? I was struggling finding a unique look because I want two things in the same slider. :/
