25 for me.
I was thinking maybe its the event but it was happening during jesters too. That being said I imagine all of the people loading up 18 toons to do crafting writs is more taxing on the server. If i remember right unused toons go into "cold storage."

But I bet its something silly like its constantly checking to make sure youre on the correct class to be able to preview the infinite archive style pages. Or its loading but not showing the old ui font.

But i blame the change to blastbones.

28 crashes for me since U41 dropped.

Maintenance didn't do anything. Before raid, someone crashed in the pre trial lobby and our mt couldn't even log in for 50 minutes. Other online games worked for him.
So even though all 12 were there on time, we had to cancel due to the game not working.

Surely they must've noticed with psn crash reports increasing by atleast 20x since U41, assuming they're being forwarded to Zos by Sony.

17 times in February
18 times in March
18 times in April so far.

Funny no other game or app has crashed this year but ESO. Love the improved communication we are getting about this issue.

It looks like the crashing has been fixed on pc, is there any news when this will be implemented in console? (playstation)
The game is unplayable at the moment trial wise with people randomly crashing mid boss fight , will there be a hotfix? or do we have to wait the 2 weeks cycle we are behind pc?

Fwiw, pc was freezing less this morning when I did my crafting dailies, but still freezing. I spend about an hour a day doing crafting dailies on a stable of characters. Before today, I had to play full screen, minimum settings, only essential crafting addons, logging during the work morning when server load was lower, speed-running crafting dailies to try and finish each character before a freeze that made me kill eso via task manager, and I still froze on almost half of them, 10+ freezes in that one hour. I dunno if those things helped, except for the pop size which definitely made a difference. Today I didn't freeze until I was on the last character, when listing items on guild traders. I suspect it's improved, yet not fixed. I'll find out when I log on in a bit now that I'm done with work for today.

I mention this because if the same problems are causing trouble for pc and console, the situation should hopefully be improved for you at least once they transfer over whatever improvements they made.

I was in a trifecta run with my group and we're getting crashes still on PS5 all over the place. Numerous people get random crashes at random times. It can be before we even start and stack on the door. It happens during add pulls, during boss fights, running between them. This patch is an absolute disaster.

41 crashes for me btw since this patch dropped. Before that none since October 2023. Can we at least get some acknowledgement this game broke down by u41?

Please fix this. It's literally impossible to prog trifectas at the moment because at least one person DCs per run (usually more). I subbed for a group yesterday evening who are doing a PB progression and we got hardstuck at Bahsei because basically every pull, either one of the healers would DC causing chains in group, DPS were DCed downstairs while beaming, either tank would crash causing the other one to eventually die to boss + aboms (note that this group had several clears with 20+ vitals before U41).

A few days before the maintenance my raid group was trying to help someone in our team get GH who didn't have it and I think I counted 3 times where our portal tank crashed while in portal causing the DPS to die/portal wipe.

7 crashes in 45 minutes. [We didnt get get godslayer btw] we were 33/36 pre patch.
2nd run saw 7 or 8 in 33 minutes.

Your game is not up to the standard of quality I paid for or subscribed to, nor is it the quality expected of a playstation game.

Sony set the precedent by removing Cyberpunk so it's possible to have your game removed from the store. Id imagine its possible to have crowns removed as well. I dont know if that means anything to you but this game is performing worse than that did, and has not yet been removed. Given the track record I'm surprised.

Additionaly, the lack of response via this thread, bug reports or customer service from literally anyone is completely disrepectful.

Your game may be a disgrace right now. But that does not give you the excuse nor the right to be one too.

Please acknowledge this issue and provide a hotfix as soon as possible.

Is this the life we have resigned ourselves to? Is this how the Playstation servers die, not with a bang but with a whimper?

Here we stand, shouting into the void, hoping that ZOS will here us. Is everything futile?

I've seen the hotifx for random zone crashes on PC. Is that the answer? Will that fix this never ending torment?

The slightest crumb of affection would be enough. And so here I wait.

Until U41 I basically had 0 crashes. Now I’m crashing 3-4 times a day on PS5 EU.

ZOS can you please acknowledge this? It‘s terrible and has never been this bad.

*maybe* ZOS needs to invest more resources into capable programmers and less in throwing themselves massive parties in exotic places. just saying. it's been one big fumble after another making me dread the upcoming chapter release😳

I have been around long enough that I remember when a certain update around Southern Elsweyr's release introduced a horrific plague of blue screens across the PS4 community. And right off the bat, it was not acknowledged as being caused by the update, oh no, it had to be on our end. Clearly, after an update an entire community suddenly having issues they did not have before, the Occam's Razor of that is we all simultaneously started experiencing hardware failures vs it, you know, being the fault of the update.

I remember suffering for MONTHS feeling ignored and abandoned. I honestly don't recall if ZOS ever even formally acknowledged it in the end, but lo and behold, one day after an update, the clouds parted and the blue screen plague was gone.

Guess we all miraculously and simultaneously healed.

This current situation feels A LOT like that...

These crashes are going on my nerves. I crashed like four times today in completely random situations. One was while doing a vent - okay, lots of players around, I get that. Another one was when I got into a Tales of Tribute match. Hello?

My raid group was doing some Gryphon Heart pulls about an hour ago and so I came back to this thread, I lost count of how many DCs we had in total in a 2 hour time slot. I’d say close to 20. At least one person crashed every time we left instance, we had 2 people randomly crash one time as soon as they entered the door to start the trial, those times we finally got in combat after getting past the rest of the garbage we had crashes in over 50% of the runs.

High end PvE is currently not in a state where it's playable, farming boxes or doing quests is annoying because you are randomly crashing for no reason.

Gonna keep coming back here until we receive some acknowledgement that they are investigating or at least at minimum are aware that this is SIGNIFICANTLY impacting gameplay for a vast amount of console players.

Its gotta be the ui changes. I play with combat text so it would be present in writs, and trials and on the log in screen. I have a high Actions Per Minute so i get that the game cant keep up. But that doesnt explain the crashes that happen when ive set my controller down and im doing nothing in game and im taking an IRL Update 41.

So this update had minor tweaks and 2 instanced dungeons, some style pages, some gear sets and a mythic. And broke the game.

Gold Road introduces a very exciting new mechanic, a new zone, new trial. Im sure a bunch of gear sets and mythics.

If you think for 1 second i am going to trust zenimax to deliver a satisfactory product for Gold Road you are out of your mind.

I would like to remind everyone here that you dont need to preorder to play gold road. If you really really have to have the cosmetics for preordering, preorder at the last minute.

Sonys policy on cancelling preorders was linked previously.

Last year we were spoiled. New class, new trial, new zones, great story, new arena, and really good performance.

This year, so far has been less than that. And by not responding here you really Update 41d the bed.

I have had it with these mother Update 41ing bugs, on this motherUpdate 41ing game.

I hate to jinx myself by saying this, but I have not had any issues. I have been on every day of the event for several hours.

There was another thread with a solution for some console problem by deleting the cloud save file. I don’t use the cloud save feature at all, perhaps there is some problem with it, though I can’t think of what. That file only saves your settings and is not a file that saves your progress. Maybe turn that feature off and try?

Nice fingers crossed it stays that way for you. Im pretty certain when i deleted my saves on 4/3 i also deleted my cloud save but i will try that again just in case i missed the cloud.
Since resetting everything i have had crashes.
