It is not fun being level 20 and fighting against level 50 players.
And since you can't level in PvP anymore, this means that you will always be level 20 (ok, maybe in one month of daily pvp you'll get to 25) while all the pve carebears will be working on their veteran ranks and two shotting you.

You do realize that this is a pve game? It also has 1 pvp aspect, that's it.
And calling pve'ers carebears in this game is funny. Cuz zergfest pvp is so hard. If you don't ever want to pve then you should have did some investigating before buying this game. You doughnut.
This discussion is not whos care bear and who is not, Don't turn this into a thread with epeen measuring.
I've played all hardcore PvP games L2 / EvE /SB.
We will NEVER see a game like that again, simply because WoW has brought a player base that can't deal with PvP with huge loss.
PvP players were lead to believe that PvP was a HUGE part of this games make up. They talked about it in every interview always discussed DAoC days and looking to bring that back to the MMO community.
We WERE lead to believe that you could hit Cyrodiil and stay there until 50. Now sadly PvE'ers have the advantage in Cyrodiil. I know it will all even out eventually, but give the PvPer's some credit. This game is sadly set up to help players that prefer PvE to PvP.
And right now the PvE'ers do HAVE the advantage in Cyrodiil. So players that are bad at PvP can come in at Vet rnk1 or higher and have an advantage simply because they know if they tried to come in at a normal level with everyone else they would get rolled.
There are threads of PvEer's bragging about busting through levels to troll lower level players in Cyrodiil, Just a sad pathetic mindset.

So you (and others) believe it is explicitly called out that PvP is a viable 10-50 levelling option, and the difference between it being viable or not is purely down to a repeatable quest changing to daily?
See I agree with you. PvP should be a viable option to level up to 50 in a timely fashion, but I do not think the quest should be brought back like it was. I think the quest is good as a daily and that they need to work to adjust the pvp rewards. I think they may actually already be doing this, but changed the quest early to stop the damage it was doing. If in a week or two they don't at least announce they are going to be changing the PvP rewards for kills or something, then I could see hardcore pvp players getting really upset. So you (and others) believe it is explicitly called out that PvP is a viable 10-50 levelling option, and the difference between it being viable or not is purely down to a repeatable quest changing to daily?
I'm just gonna paste what i said in another thread:
It seems that leveling in PvP was so badly implemented that it depended on a single broken quest. Take that broken quest away and whole badness of the implementation surfaces.
Don't get me wrong. I don't want this quest back. It was really stupid. What i do want is a viable PvP leveling mechanic. Which tbh is not even that hard to implement - just keep AP gain in check and increase XP gain from kills. It's not rocket science.
