@ZOS_Kevin Will there be any indication of said passive bonuses in the character menu or above the hotbars? That was an ask from the last few events with passive bonuses. Curious if that feedback was seen and acted on.

Hey @ApoAlaia. Thanks for the question. Sweepers will still drop some older style pages and RftW still drop Pelinal Boon boxes.

Unfortunately no. While we know it is an issue, this is going to take a bit to work in-game. But when checking on this a few weeks ago, it was mentioned that it is on the team's radar. No news for now on timeline, but it is documented and discussions are being had on how to incorporate this in the future.

But the passive bonus will be active.

Just so I understand, RftW will drop older style pages and boon boxes? And will they also have a chance to drop coldfires and other stuff like in years past? Or do all the extra drops only come from boon boxes?

What purpose would that serve now that the bonus lasts the entirety of the event? You don’t have to watch to refresh it. I wouldn’t care if it were added to the character menu (where other XP bonuses are shown) but I wouldn’t want anything like that above the hotbars or otherwise cluttering my screen.

During the last event with a similar passive bonus, I saw a lot comments in-game where people were confused if the bonus was truly active. If people don't come here or the website, or close out the login popup, it's easy to miss. I personally don't need it, but I know quite a few people who do. Just a nice-to-have and would be the same behavior as the scroll.

This argument didn’t make any sense when argued for New Life and it doesn’t make sense now. Why would it be on your character menu? It’s not a personal buff, it’s a world buff. There’s nothing on your character menu that tells you what the base XP or AP earned per kill or quest is. There’s nothing on your character menu that tells you what the base world gold earning value is, there’s nothing there that shows what the base world mat node value is.

Only things specific to your character should be listed in your character menu.

Would be nice to know how many people can join a campaign.
Every other game that have instanced pvp says how many players can take part in it.
Every game but not this one.
I find this quite strange since this is the game well known for its improved communication™

I like Cyro PvP during MYM, but IC... well I would say that "I dislike Imperial City" is the most polite way to put it. It is simply not the type of PvP I enjoy.

So, for me it is a big + for not adding IC event exclusive motif pages (but I guess IC will still drop motif pages from previous events). Wil save me tons of stress, nerves and of course - in game cash.

The biggest issue I have with Whitestrake’s Mayhem PvP Event is the Devs obsession with Imperial City. I can understand that it is a part of PvP event (because it is a PvP zone), but the problem is that lately IC was all over the place in previous events that were not even "PvP" events at all.

So, having less reasons to go to IC is imho a good thing. Players should go there to have fun. That is the main reason and it should be the only reason. If the content is not fun for you - no pressure, just do PvP content you like more instead.

Ideally, it should also be reflected by the event tickets gained from quests. That ONE event ticket in IC creates so much unnecessary traffic. Most players literally go to IC for like 1 - 5 minutes to either hand over the daily quest they done prior to event, or do the easiest one that involves as little PvP as possible.

It would be awesome to have more options and do for example 2 daily quests in Cyro, or 1 Cyro & 1 BG, or maybe even 2 IC quests if you like IC more than Cyro. Having more options to do the content we prefer is always better.

I can appreciate where you're coming from, just some clarifications:

I'm not advocating for the base XP/AP to be there, but only indication when it's modified. I'm mainly advocating for it because it's a change management concern. Many people are accustomed to the scrolls which, upon use, generated icons in the character screen and hotbars.

On top of that, it is a personal buff for the duration of the event. We already have icons for permanent status effects, it's a menu option, so it makes sense to have it here. It's just a UX nice to have.

Please tell me you have fixed the exploit this year that allows people to endlessly run backwards and forwards between 2 keeps with the walls left down, not fighting and getting countless reward of the worthy boxes, pelinals boxes and TelVar without actually doing any PvP.

So the IC bosses will be dropping the discontinued Sancre Tor and Gloamsedge armor pages that are going for half a mil each now?

This has not been changed. You can still earn Event Tickets through scouting quests or elder scroll capture quests.
