Update EPIC account

In websites like www.***.com, we can buy ESO DLCs at a cheaper price and then redeem the code on the ESO website. My ESO game is from EPIC. If I redeem the code on the ESO website, will I get the update or not?"

Assumed that I understand your question properly: I have ESO via Steam and any upgrade I purchase for ESO has to go via Steam too, no matter what upgrades (more crowns, new DLC, ...). External codes don't work, including codes from ESO website.

I tend to believe that it should be the same with EPIC. However, a confirmation from someone playing via EPIC would be better.

Correct, but in my case, it's an EPIC account. I've seen some players on Reddit mention that we can input redemption codes on the ESO website to update the game. However, I've also come across information suggesting that this might not be accurate. I'm unsure! Any assistance from someone who knows for sure would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know what the site is you're referring to, but it's reasonable to assume that if you buy ESO DLCs from an unrecognised and unsupported site then those DLCs will be unrecognised and unsupported. I've no idea how EPIC accounts fit in with that, however.

Any code that would work with a native eso account should work on epic. Like for example epic doesnt sell eso+, if you want eso + you have to buy it from the native eso account page and then it gets applied. Should work like that. PS i have an epic account and i would like to know about this site you are buying dlcs from.

I'm not sure if I would violate any Code of Conduct by disclosing the websites. However, a simple Google search for something like 'buy ESO key DLCName cheap' will yield plenty of results.

That is incorrect. Non Steam codes can't be redeemed on Steam but they can be redeemed on your ESO account page. Once done Steam won't show you as owning the content but once you've actually logged into the game the redeemed content will be available.

    Greetings,

After further review we have decided to move this thread to a category we think is more appropriate for this topic, as it's about the account.

    Thank you for your understanding

Really? Because several friends had troubles with external codes? I never tested it personally. That would be a good news. Thank you for the information.
