I take it you play Daggerfall Covenant? 🤷♂️

I have leveled accounts for all three factions and can play any faction at any time without using a faction change token. However, I set these alteranate accounts up during the heyday of Cyrodiil, and almost all my friends have left the game with the exception of one guild on one faction. So I don't faction hop anymore these days to speak of.
I rarely play DC because they are most often the faction that is winning and over populated already, and the guild I run with daily is not on DC.

Then what made you cringe? lol
Because his post, at least to me, sounded like the start of us receiving attention to Cyrodiil again which is something those of us who PvP all want.

Surely I'm not the only player that endured the months of combat and skill adjustments they ran us though in Cyrodiil and then at the end nothing what so ever changed as a result. I sure hope this isn't going to be a repeat of that last failed testing.
Just dedicate some more server capacity for Cyrodiil is almost certainly what needs to happen to increase performance and give us back a reasonable population cap to keep Cyrodiil alive and well. So what needs to happen isn't a change on the player end. What needs to happen is a change on the ZOS' end in terms of investment into resources dedicated to the zone.
...and yes, it will cost some money on ZOS' end and cut into the profit margin to a small degree to fix this and restore cyroliil to some of it's formal glory.

I don’t see how it’s cringe. The testing they did, if I remember correctly from what Rich said on an old stream, lead to the re-architecture code rewrite thing which was renamed Multithreading and that update we got in June. Even though it didn’t do what they thought they still did something. That’s what I see this as too, they are trying different things and I applaud them for that.
Plus you say “give us a reasonable population cap”, isn’t that what this test is trying to find out? If it makes it to PC/NA I’m in.
