Silly Little Glass Eyes

The farm is wild--it takes a group of 3-4 DPS about 25-30 mins to do normal Scrivener's Hall, and that gives a chance at a Glass Eye from each of the 3 bosses, plus 3-5 items to decon for more chances. I'd think you could get 1-3 Glass Eyes per run. Sometimes I explain that and run it as a farming group, especially for newish players who have some DPS gear and want gold.

Usually I just run a taunt and extra heals and a damage shield. Normal is tankable as a DPS in DPS gear with <25k health.

It is still a lot of time invested for not a lot of eyes, but at least the price can help convince people to do it.

Comparatively, if you get max 1 Glass Eye for the furnishing crate from the Archive that costs 2k Fortunes, I think Scrivener's Hall is way, way better, but I've never measured my Fortunes-per-minute on my Arc 5-8 runs.

Don't you think that there should be another source of getting them?

Yeah, it's way too grindy. I'd also be down for the furnishing material crates being cheaper--and almost everything from Filer Tezurs--for the time it takes to farm them.

It seems like Glass Eye farm was done intentionally to make Scrivener's Hall worth re-running--it also has the vault keys with unique drops. But I think designing dungeons to be farmed like that is a bad idea because it's very, very repetitive. At least the Archive or PvP or pledges are different every time, so it's good that there's SOME use for dungeon style materials, but this is a bit too many recipes that require running one dungeon to craft--maybe if only a few did, it would be more reasonable.

Until then, I'll be making gold off of it. The furnishings really are beautiful and worth crafting!

So I may have found a loophole, but it does require a bit of investment. Either buy or earn a page from the Scribes of Mora style and use mimic stones to make as much as you can, then decon them. They have a chance to reward eyes. I had a crazy amount of stones since I never use them and ended up with 75 eyes just from filling my inventory with swords once.
